What a deliciously authentic Cajun dinner! My boyfriend and I were recommended here for dinner, and it did NOT disappoint! Scrumptious! Our waiter (I believe his name was Jason) was incredibly helpful in showing us menu items to accommodate my partner who has a severe shellfish allergy. He settled on the blackened chicken with jambalaya, and I (who can enjoy delicious shellfish 😋) ordered the ’chicken creole’ dish which had shrimp, crawfish, and you guessed it - chicken! Overall, we had such an amazing, intimate dinner together at what we felt was like dining in Louisiana. Major props to the chefs and waitstaff! We will be back! Wow....the staircase is 😖 awful. The booth we sat at was so dark making it impossible to read the menu. The menu was very large, not the same as what's posted on the website. Came at lunch time, only 3 other guest's eating. I can certainly see why. The decorations were great. Food was fair. This is my second time coming here, the last time was 12 years ago. My boyfriend and I decided to come here, I'm really glad !! The food was amazing!! The waitress was awesome and friendly. We had to wait about 10 minutes or so, so it was not too bad. We waited at the bar, drinks were awesome, and the bartender was friendly and awesome!! We ordered the Seafood Fondue for the appetizer, it was so good, the tortilla chips that came with it were delicious . ** side note personally I wouldn't mind it if it came with more spinach lol I love spinach, but it was delicious My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Orleans, he let me take a bite, it was really good. The only thing we agreed on was it was a bit too salty, we're both not really salt people, plus my boyfriend can't really have salt due to heart issues, not sure if it's supposed to that way, I mean was it horribly salty? No,he took what he didn't finish home. So other than the salt it was really good!! I ordered the seafood risotto, omg now that was just, wow.. So damn good, even my boyfriend agreed, he said he's gonna order that next time!!! I also ordered the garlic butter grits creamy, so amazing best grits I've had!!! So all in all our experience was awesome!!! ** side note** I was kinda bummed that they no longer have gator bites lol Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Seafood Risotto

This place is only good by UP standards, and even then it's not great. As a local, I've eaten here a number of times and each time I am less interested in returning. Two years ago when I first ate here there were at least a couple vegan and vegetarian options. Now there is almost nothing, and even the non meat dishes that are available are loaded in butter or cheese. No good for anyone with dietary restrictions. During my most recent visit the wait staff were rude, and I left feeling like the cocktails were the best part of the meal. Plus my rice and beans were $22... Yea there aren't any other Creole options in the UP, but I will probably not be returning. ***Reply to owner*** I appreciate your response! I would just ask that you please take into consideration dietary allergies in your menu moving forward. As it stands now, you have no options for those of us who can't have dairy and your wait staff were at a loss as to what to recommend. I would suggest using plant based butter and cheeses on a dish, or at least having that as an option. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Truly authentic! The shrimp and grits, and jambalaya were my favorites. We ended up going twice in the week we were visiting. My only negative is the booths are pretty tight for any plus size folks.
