We were in a group mixed with those who wanted traditional Romanian food and those wanting food similar to home and everyone was happy with their orders. Plates were cleared! Atmosphere reduced by the loud music from the hotel restaurant across the way which competes with the music at La turn but not enough to put me off returning. The venue is excellent with a beautiful patio. Service was good, my waitress was very nice and attentive by local standards. Food prices are on the higher side for Sibiu but still very affordable. The lemonades are excellent and are highly recommended, I had the watermelon infused one. The cherry liquor was also excellent and.a local made favorite so it is a must try when you are here. My dinner choice was not on point, I had the La Turn Hamburger and it was cooked very well done and the sauce was the star of the show not the meat. I do not record this as a meal choice, edible but maybe my least favorite meal in town thus far. They had live music the night I was there and the band was extremely talented. They were a jazz trio, female vocalist, piano and bass. Wow just wow, I wish I had gotten their name as I would love to see them again. So a five for the drinks, venue and music and a two for my hamburger leading me to a 4 overall. If you get a different meal who knows it could be far better and raise the score to a five. A lovely restaurant "The Tower" next to the tower, with a massive covered terrace (with blankets) in the very centre of Sibiu. Chilled but nice atmosphere and even live music as we were leaving 🎶 Really friendly staff, a special mention for Robert (mil gracias), very attentive 🙌 🍷Robert recommended a nice Romanian red wine, there are a few options by the glass and a lot more by the bottle. Food-wise we tried the 🥗 Anchovy Caesar Salad and Spicy Feta cream with honey, delicious 🧀 Inside, there is a lovely funky decor. Great place! I highly recommend this place for having dinner or lunch. The menu is varied, you can choose from plenty of different romanian traditional dishes. You can try tuica or visinata for drinking appetisers. The shepherds style beef with mushroom sauce and fried cheese and polenta is absolutely delicious 🤤. I think it's one of the best places to eat in the old town centre. 🍽️🍲☕️ Toilets 🚻 are clean. You can use the baby chair if you need one. There is an outdoor covered area for smokers but there are also tables inside. 🚬🚭 Staff is quite friendly and helpful. We received our order very fast and this is a very big deal for such a place. We came with a group of 35. Excellent service. The food was finished in time and we even got a shot on the house! Couldn't have been a better experience. Chapeau! Couldn't have wished for a better ending of the day. The food was expertly prepared and everyone enjoyed it. The vegetarians and intolerant people among us had nothing to worry about either and loved the food. The portion sizes were great. We got a seperate part of the restaurant all to ourselves. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is very nice. Most of the dishes are traditional romanian ones so if you are looking for such experience this is the perfect place.
