We came here for lunch after Botanical Garden, and we would drove here for lunch anyway with or without visiting the garden. The ladies that helped us were really nice. We had the stuffed Avocado with skirt steak and Smoked pork platters with rice and vegetables, they were delicious. You should give this place a try if you're nearby. Don't go to these tourists' traps down the hill. Also, the view is pretty as well!!

An enjoyable place and depending on local events, it can be full of customers. The bar tenders are a pleasure to deal with, and the wait staff give their all. In-house Chef Luis is an awesome guy to meet. And he prepares your dish to perfection. Pulled pork is seasoned with down home Puerto Rican flavors and worth 😋 a try.

The food was so amazing here, I saw God at La Placita De Guavate. We got the chuleta can can (pork chop) with sweet plantains and the mofongo with churrasco. The outdoor seating gives you a sublime view as you savor these amazing dishes.
Oh wow this a the place if you want to taste the really organic food of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 is here omg the flavor of this was taking my breath together with the excellent view,the price excellent for the portion and service the best chef ever, taking his time to make sure his customer are happy Benji your the best , if you ever go to guavate A+ need to stop here highly recommend.
Not a lechonera but has amazing food with an even better atmosphere. Excellent coconut mojito and chuleta can can! Eat while you enjoy the beauty of the Cayey mountains!

We had a lovely time here. Great people and service and the views were unbelievable. Mojitos we’re $3 during HH! Would highly recommend, especially for a big group like ours 50+.

I'm on vacation so I'm going to keep it short and simple. A group of us spent the day driving and built up a great appetite. I came up with the idea of taking them to the pork highway. However, we were quickly disappointed to learn that most of the fire pit roasted pork locations were closed. We almost decided to head back to the hotel but I made one more search and found La Placita open. I called to verify and the response was enthusiast and welcoming.
We were so happy. Then we get there and this amazing professional takes us to our table and immediately starts providing the friendliest and caring service. We joked about my horrible "spanglish" and I assisted my party with their orders.
It was busy, we were starved and some where borderline hangry. But then the drinks and appetizer arrived.
Happy Level 1 achieved.
Then after a few extra minutes, the meals start arriving. Omg!
Everything was amazing.

Sides were also great - rice & beans, tostones, sweet plantains, mamposteao rice were all amazing!
Liz was amazing! I want her manager and the restaurant owners to know how special she is.
