The 5.99 margaritas were nice. (Generally, their drink prices were pretty low compared to others.) The food was good. The fried whole snapper was moist on the inside and crisp on the outside. We came here from out of town. The food and portions here were fantastic! All the staff was kind and helpful, especially considering our big party. Oh my!! Ordered surf & turf tacos — now our new favorite 😋 Steak, shrimp, avocado and melted cheeses 💕 We find ourselves here more than any other Mexican restaurant in Beaufort SC. Usually we sit at the bar for lunch — visited for dinner tonight. Great service, delicious food — we will be definitely back for more. I've loved this place since I was a kid and it's still here! Veggie chimichanga was excellent, lots of queso, grilled vegetables, shredded cheese on top with guacamole. Lots of other things I would have liked to have tried like the molcajete. Watermelon Margarita was pretty good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Updated review after being here many times over 4 months. We had been looking for a go-to simple Mexican restaurant ever since we moved to Beaufort. We've tried pretty much all of them, and this one will likely be that go-to... good food, really good margaritas, what else do you want? Well, we now know the answer. We want bartenders who know how to make good margaritas without the standard junk tequila. This is NOT your place if you care about that. Every time you go in, you get someone different at the bar who is not experienced at making custom drinks, and you get a different price each time. Pour from the pre-made machine with cheap tequila? How disgusting trying to eat your food while a fly lands on your drink. Ordered a drink and I didn’t even get it. Choking on my food because I didn’t get my drink.
