Great food and friendly staff. I rated 3 stars on the atmosphere due to narrow tight seating. When we walked in, most of the tables were full. They sat us down at a table, which was next to a countertop that, when seating down, the countertop was literally at head/face level. That felt somewhat uncomfortable. On my next visit, I will wait for a different table. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Very clean restaurant. I had the parrillada for 1. The meat cuts were thinner than what I normally get at other restaurants but the flavor was great. My father had the Carne Asada plate was a little too salty for my fathers liking (and he likes salt). The rice and beans were very good. As I’m typing this at the table in the restaurant I changed my rating from a 4 star to a 5 star because our waitress was very friendly, attentive and even offered a to go drink. I’m sorry that I didn’t get the fresh plate pictures but some picture is better than no picture. Temperature in the restaurant at 2:29 pm on a summer day was very comfortable. Service was great, our waitress was very nice and checked on us frequently, the food came out hot, its nice inside and barely any wait. However I do have an issue with their "red cheese enchiladas"- they used wolf brand chili for the sauce and it really disappointed me because that isn't the way they are supposed to be made. They should use actual dried red chili's. But honestly, overall it was good. The staff, the decor, the drinks, they were pretty close to five stars. Would recommend!

Has anybody heard of a shortage of hominy.. that’s what I was told when I asked for a small bowl of hominy on the side with a plate of food. They also said they don’t cook it together with the beef tripe. This Esperanza on Ave M has given me this before with no problem then all of a sudden this happened. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING…. It was so HOT and TASTY. If you haven’t been to La Esperanza #2 and you are in San Angelo you are missing out. Great speedy friendly service & delicious food. What more can you ask for.

Hopefully my first post is still on their site La Esperanza was actually quiet good. I was surprised, this is my second post, after enjoying a really great Breakfast. FIRST. These guys know how to cook hash browns. Mine were Perfect !! The pancake was very fluffy, and cooked perfectly. the eggs were perfect. not so much with the sausage BUT. That wasn't thier fault. It was cooked perfectly as well I'm just not that good with sausage. BUT. One small complaint, the coffee cup is plastic. I noticed after drinking most of my cup, the insides of the cup were stained. Making me think that Next Time, I'm likely to bring my own coffee cup. Otherwise everything this morning was as perfect as it could possibly be. Great Food, Great Service. Etc I will definitely go back for breakfast as I'm able to. Thanks Again for a wonderful experience.

Very nice and fast service. Food is good too. Had the cheese enchiladas with green sauce. Very tasty. Friend had the combo plate. He enjoyed it too.
