A no pretentious stop EVERYONE need to make when visiting Cabo Rojo!!! Their empanadas are small but CRAZY GOOD!!! I order one filled with Lobster and it was made with fresh lobster caught in the area. Also had a cup of fresh caught Conch, and i had the pleasure to talk to the fisherman that supplies fresh seafood to this place. the cooker messed up my order. I asked for a beef empanada but I got octopus instead. Also I asked for a $12 octopus salad and it came with a bug, she said I changed the cup, but the vinaigrette sauce was slimy. The people close to us left their food too, not sure what happened. The yuca alcapurria didn't taste like yuca. Very bad experience. Price per person $40–50 Recommended dishes Pizza Empanadas

In my last visit was very crowd!have to wait like an 1 hour.we order cheese balls they were good but the corn fritter were over cooked.i order puertonrican fried chicken and mofongo!the mofongo falls apart 😳

Our go-to place whenever we visit PR! The Beach is literally across the road, with the warmest water & beautiful sea shells. Drinks are so delicious-passion fruit mojitos & shots of Don Q rum 😋 and ANYTHING you order off of the menu is authentic, scrumptious & mouth watering! I have frequented Abuelos quite a few times when I come to PR. These past few visits on this trip have been sub par. The servers/bartenders have a very annoyed disposition when placing orders or asking for a simple item such as a straw. The birds have taken over and are leaving droppings on chairs and tables, very unappealing while trying to eat and have a great time with your family (see photos below) The place also needs to be cleaned up with a pressure hose of some sort. This last visit they weren’t that busy so I don’t understand why the tables were full of trash. Food is always good, however the surtido we ordered came out super fast and some of the carne frita was pink inside. We even spoke to the “manager” at the end who advised us to speak with the owner, who appeared unbothered by our complaints. Hope you have a better experience than we did.
