There are several La Baguette stores in Shinjuku City. This store is actually the La Baguette Factory Store.
From the outside, especially before this store opens, it’s difficult to tell that this store is a bakery,
It’s also a bit tricky finding this store as it’s located on a nondescript backstreet across from a coin laundry operator with no other restaurants or other food stores nearby.
Please note that neither the Factory Store nor any of the other stores have eat-in facilities.
This Factory Store is actually very small—and only four patrons are allowed inside the store space at one time.
Before lunchtime, particularly on weekdays, there’s usually a line of four or more people outside the store—which opens at 11:45 AM.
This is important to know as there is no menu board outside the store, so you can’t know what’s available on the day and what’s sold out until you actually get inside the store.
And as the counter staff takes orders from each customer, one at a time, it can take up to several minutes for one person to place and receive their
If you’re in a hurry, or have a time limited to your lunch hour, either get here before 11:45 or forget it.
The bread 🥖🍞is really delicious but you could wait 30 minutes or more to place your order only to learn they don’t have what you want to eat.
Conversely, if you get there early enough to be one of the first four patrons allowed inside the store first, you could find some nice discounts on items leftover from the day before.
My partner ate a piece of bread from this bakery and because of this bakery’s cross contamination with nuts in their bakery (specifically walnut) she had an anaphylactic reaction and ended up in hospital for 2 days.
I’m sure they do a great job but the fact they cannot and will not cater their products to an allergy which nearly killed someone is absolutely appalling.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A NUT ALLERGY - I ate one cream cheese bread from this bakery and had a massive anaphylactic reaction ended up in ICU for 2 days. Appalling they had not listed nut as an ingredient but I am under the impression they add walnut to the flour. List NUT AS AN INGREDIENT !!!

Delicious bread shop
It is recommended to go to about 12:30 because the quantity is small except for the bucket.
There are not many products lined up immediately after the store opening.
It is cash only.
Sold out of 3 out of 5 sandwiches by about 1pm. The bread was really good and my tuna salad baguette was great but the ham and cheese one has a pathetic amount of filling and the cheese tasted more like a slab of butter.
