The waitress are so nice and kind. They can't speak English at all. But It doesn't matter. I am a first visit to come with my kids in Thailand! I'd never forget this memories! Thank you for serving nicely!
Nice restaurant with big menu catering mainly to the local market as the order menu is all in Thai and wait staff dont speak much English or Chinese but this is where one can get good authentic local cooking.
Price is reasonable too and parking is plentiful.
There are airconditioned seating as well as outdoor under these little huts.
If you do have local friends, you can suggest for them to bring you here.
Extremely popular amongst local. There were 2 major eating areas, 1 was the main building (similar to restaurant) where lighting was bright and clean. There was a band playing. Another was hut type, exotic - made from bamboo and wood with coconut/palm leaves as roof.
Menu was perfect - complete with pictorial, a great help as the waiter and waitress do not understand much English. Service was fast and food arrived very fast even tough it was almost full.
Huge portions, one of the cheapest eat in Hatyai. 7 dishes (1 huge pla pao / bbq salted fish, bbq pork neck, omelette, squid with eggs, prawn tom yum, 1 big plate of mix vege and 1 giant size fried pineapple rice), 1 big Singha, 2 coconuts and 1 coke - THB1300.
We found that tom yum was overly sour and the fried rice was a bit plain. Other than that was perfect.
The food was great and inexpensive.
Location is a bit out of town but definitely worth the drive.
Servers are not well-versed with English but they have an English menu so it helps.

This is a must go everytime I'm heading back to Malaysia. The food is consistently good with low prices. Worth to stop by for a meal.
