Amazing place owned by a family. Excellent food, kind and considerate service, fast, friendly. Views from the terrace are amazing. Great that they work off-season too. Prices are affordable. We are returning customers and will come again when visiting Ulcinj in the future. I recommend their fish soup and the specialty salad. Probably one of the best places I have eaten in in Montenegro. The most amazing family atmosphere in town. People working there are a family and they make you feel a part of it, we didn’t want to leave. Great food, delicious wine - overall top notch experience. Highly recommend to choose this restaurant over other ones around. Located in the old town, amazing views from the terrace. Very good food , fresh fish, friendly and all language speaking owner We will be back because it turned to be a very interesting and nice town, worse visiting and stay! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Konoba Barutana is located near the southern wall of the old Ulcinj fortress. Restaurant has a nice terrace with amazing view of south barbican and the sea. Name "Barutana" was given because two nearby houses were used as gun powder storage during the times when fortress had it's purpose. You can see the same spirit of caring for history, customs and old values from owner of Barutana, who we has a chance to meet and speak with. He stared couple of stories about Ulcinj, himself and his restaurant, gave us recommendation on our lunch and made our experience that much better. We had octopus in sauce, mussels in sauce and wild tuna with grilled veggies. Octopus and tuna were delicious and i think that best side dish combo with them is boiled potatoes with chard. We thought that grilled veggies would go well with it but i would chose classic next time. We had a great time here and i hope we'll come again.

What an amazing experience! We shared the two person appetizer to start which was delicious, and then I got the black seafood risotto, which was amazing! The waiter was so nice, and the views were incredible. There was absolutely nothing negative to say about my experience here, I’m so glad that we found it. I would definitely recommend eating here!

Truly amazing food and the service was great! From what I understood it is a family business and the mother of the server is cooking, she’s amazing!
