So much food from habachi - lots of take-home food. Everything was cooked perfectly, and service was good. We had the fillet. But the best was the tempura coconut ice cream - just fantastic. Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Went on a Saturday at 3. Just missed the lunch specials. Darn. Went ahead and ordered - and then we were told that the chefs would be taking a break before dinner…we were confused. Guess the waitress was telling us - that’s it - that’s all you want right? It was confusing bc there is no indication that the restaurant closes to orders at 3 and then reopens at 5 or just before…? I’ve twice tried to order crunchy spicy tuna rolls and each time I get a spicy tuna roll. A little frustrating. Their sweet potato rolls are great. And a little crunchy. Daughter wasn’t a fan of the hot pot. The pork buns were good. Overall - it was good - but we would make sure to arrive in time to be able to get lunch specials - and I will no longer attempt to get a crunchy spicy tuna roll… Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Sushi Rolls

My friend and I went here for sushi. We tried three of the recommended rolls including their lobster one. I thought the lobster was a little fishy and the roll was not to my liking. The other two rolls were phenomenal! I love the atmosphere and interior design at this restaurant. I have never tried the hibachi at Kobe before, and I was pretty impressed. Not just with the food, but with the experience as well. The portions of food were massive and trust me when you choose the steak you get a pretty awesome steak, like melts in your mouth good. Our chef was so funny and entertaining as well. I’d highly recommend this for any party Meal type Dinner

The food here was excellent and interesting. The menu is huge and there is something for everyone. The Tokyo crab Rangoon was very different from any crab Rangoon I have had before. It was coated in tempura before it was fried and it came with a sauce that was very much like a citrusy applesauce and everyone loved it. The pork belly bao was thin pork but not a lot of fat. It was beautiful and well seasoned. The Out of Control roll had a large portion of salmon on top, and was not in the least bit fishy. The Tokyo monster roll was a stunner. It was definitely not the biggest sushi roll. I’ve ever had like the menu says, but it may have been the best. It’s topped with scallops and Parmesan cheese, which doesn’t sound good, but it absolutely is. The whole topping was crispy. If you order any roll, it should be this one. The beef stick was very tender and a huge portion. It was sweet and it took a little work to get the sticks out since they were buried inside, but definitely worth the time. The ribeye was nice, but I would choose the beef stick over the ribeye next time. The portion of meat and the flavor was preferable in the beef stick. The lobster and filet mignon we’re both wonderful. The filet mignon was a thinner cut that I have seen before. I asked for medium rare, and got something closer to medium, which doesn’t surprise me because it was a little thin. But that being said it was butter soft inside and seasoned well. The lobster was also nice and not over cooked. No butter was served with the lobster, but there were two sauces I had never tasted before and both were delicious. The lobster in filet mignon also came on a bed of vegetables, which I did not taste, because we had so much other food. The spicy scallop roll was basic. I wouldn’t order it again. The fried rice was OK and probably not worth almost 9$. If fried rice isn’t your favorite thing, skip it. The toffee cake was good. It’s really just a Bundt cake but it does come with two scoops of coconut ice cream. I really enjoyed the ice cream but if you are not a fan of big chunks of coconut, you might want to ask for a different ice cream. The coconut ice cream tempura was definitely the star of the show. It is crispy on the outside and doesn’t have that gooey texture that fried ice cream sometimes has when they fry it and then refreeze it I would 100% order this again. The service was great. Our server was prompt with drink refills. The only thing I can mention is that they did not offer us steak knives, and both the steak and the meat sticks were large pieces that needed to be cut. They did bring them when I asked for. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We went here for Valentine's Day, second time being here and as always the food is amazing! I ordered the pad Thai and it was great until I found big pieces of eggshells in it, I understand it was probably a hectic busy night so I'm still giving 4 stars. In my opinion I think the hibachi is the better option. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
I’ve been to Kobe in Biddeford many times and it’s always been great. But the Portland experience was awful. We had a reservation, for no reason. We got there early, and waited for and hour and a half past our reservation. We were finally seated and sat at the table for another 45 mins, to the point where our friends with a babysitter had to leave and go home without eating. The chef and waitstaff were great. No issues with them at all, and we appreciated their service and poor planning in management. Managements attitude was basically “leave if you want”.

Love this place. Great food! Service was prompt, we got seated quickly. The chef did all my favorite tricks. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
If you’re not going for hibachi, don’t bother. We’ve been going here for years. The food is always on point. Staff is rude, unwelcoming, almost annoyed to assist you. So we switched to take out only. The staff, unfortunately, still finds a way to mess that up. A bunch of kids gathered chatting who can’t be bothered to greet or welcome. Final straw was last night messing up the order after an awkward interaction phoning it in. I’ll say again, the food is always great. But it’s not worth the disrespectful snots that you have to deal with to give it to you. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
