Good ramen...
We had Tonkatsu noodles and it was good. The soup tasted great and the gyoza melts in your mouth. The atmosphere was not bad. The place was small so it can probably accommodate around 10-15 tables max. I had the Sontury ice tea (not sure if I spelt it right) and my partner had matcha tea. It's my first time to find an ice tea with no sugar. We were impressed by our drinks. They have free wi-fi and they also have cctv in the premise. The service was a bit slow which is the only downside of this place. I am only rating it 3 because in comparison to the Cebu Japanese Ramen place in Ayala, this place fell short due to the food taste, service and atmosphere. However, this place is a good ramen place to visit.

Really enjoyed the ramen here. Been a while since I was in Japan so I can't quite speak to the authenticity of the taste, but the broth was certainly full of flavour, would happily go here again. Gyoza's not as unmissable as others seemed to think.

Very nice small japanese restaurant on traditional Japanese decor. Possible to dit at the bar to eat,.all.though it didn't seem like people do that often, hence the storage in the corner.

The food around Bohol can be a bit of a hit or miss, so I was glad that KISSA was an absolute winner. The curries were flavourful and we loved the option to add on toppings. The mixed berry smoothie was really great as well.
If you want authentic ramen in panglao that won't break your wallet its a place to go, the place is small but the food is great

Overall you get what you paid for. Affordable food and attentive staff is your take away here. They also serve quite fast but it might be because we went here around 7:30PM.
Gyoza 5pcs - Tasted good and served hot and fresh.
Oyako-don - the flavor is not that amplified, they could do better with the sauce, not much umami. They don’t have any Katsu during our visit.
Aburi Chashu Ramen - The soup was not that rich the way I expected it to be, its alright for the price you pay.
Mango and mixed berry smoothie - Sooo good, this I think is their best seller, you know its fresh and is not too sweet.
Crepe Rolls - Is a soso, but will do, to cleanse your pallet with all the savory dishes you ate.

Great food. We had the Katsu Curry and the Tofo Curry. Both were great, note the crazy spicy is really hot, even for someone who loves spicy food I was feeling pretty hot.
Servers were super nice and the food was out quickly. I would definitely recommend coming here if you are wanting Japanese food.

I lived in Japan for 8 years and it’s sometimes difficult to find authentic Japanese food outside of Japan. This Jul 2022 trip was our first time to Philippines in 4 years. I was ecstatic to discover a Coco Ichiban Curry restaurant in Manila. Imagine my surprise to find Kissa on the island of Bohol and even more surprising that their curry was tastier than Coco’s! We also tried the Katsudon which was done perfectly with very tender pork, and the gyoza was to die for! The food was so good that we decided to come back only a couple days later. We tried the mochi ice cream and chocolate fudge brownies - both awesome. I was privileged to meet the owner and talked with him about the food. I told him the gyoza tasted hand made and he said in fact it was - by him! He often cooks in Kissa and is so friendly and courteous. I would recommend Kissa to anyone that wants a taste of Japan outside of Japan, you won’t be disappointed!
