We enjoyed lunch at the Chow Wang. The restaurant is beside the Mekong River with views across to Laos, up the river to the Friendship Bridge and downstream. We had Thai dishes and saw they also have a selection of international dishes. The food was great. Good fresh ingredients cooked just right. Lovely Thai food. The staff were very nice and attentive. We had a good time.

A good restaurant and the Mekong riverside. Prices are higher than local restaurants, but still not expensive. Ordered fried rice in pineapple and som tam, and I was not disappointed.

This is an excellent restaurant with great views over the Mekong into Laos. The dishes range from a single egg from 10 baht to a delicious pizza made in the stone oven for 200 baht. This pizza could be shared by two people. The som tam is great. Egg and rice is awesome and only 80 baht. My wife had the Pad Thai at 80 baht and said it was good. A little expensive for some locals but still well visited by those who are doing well and can enjoy a few good restaurants. Worth the drive from downtown. You will not be disappointed the service is great too. Update: I always visit here while in Thailand. I just had what might be the best meal I’ve ever had in Thailand. It seems to have gotten even better for 2018 and the presentation is perfect.

I came here the first time 3 years ago and this restaurant surely made me come back for the best pizza along the Mekhong river I know. The wood oven was built by the owner himself and the view from the terrace is great. Will be back soon.
