For the price, I could get double the portion in other equally-touristy cities. The quality and taste is definitely good, though nothing special to justify the price. Having said that, I wouldn't classify it as a rip off, but just pricier than Uzbekistan standards for the same dining style. Still worth a visit regardless, just manage your expectations accordingly.

Not worth the review it has right now. We had big expectations, but, beside the quiet and nice ambient, and a fine bottled beer, not much worth it. The prices are a bit higher than in rest of Uzbekistan, but the food is not better. In all, it was ok, but don't have big expectations.

Only 5m walk from the (very) touristic old city of Khiva, but such a nice and peaceful place. We had a tasty lunch with a fresh beetroot and coleslaw salad and some Uzbek specialties that were very well prepared. Service was really nice too! The prices were also a lot cheaper compared to the tourist traps in the old city.

We had high expectations from all the reviews and it did not live up to the hype. All the food took really long to come out, nothing was hot it was a mix of cold and barely warm. The prices are good but the portions are tiny so then you will have to try to find a hot dog on the street to try to fill up a little more.

This was a recommendation from the hotel we are staying at. We LOVE this restaurant. Affordable and reasonable prices, the food is delicious, location is only a short walk from the old city and the staff are very friendly. We’ve been twice already and will definitely go again before leaving.

Easily the best restaurant in Khiva. Vegetarian options on request, very kind staff, and beautiful place. Does not feel as touristy as the restaurant inside the city and definitely less rushed. Great option, we'll be back again.

A little weird about the categorization of Khiva Moon it seems to be more on the hotel than the restaurant, which I wasn't aware that they had accommodation. Heard about this restaurant, one of the recommended restaurants in Khiva and just a short walk from the old city. Arrived slightly around 8pm and the outdoors was packed already. I wanted to sit outside but seemed like the tables were occupied and it was a bit chilly so I decided to take indoor seats. Quite a fair bit of dishes to choose from but I already decided that I wanted to try the green noodles Shivit oshi which is a specialty in Khiva. I also came across this dumpling like dish which is called the Gumma and also ordered it to try. First had the Shivit oshi which I thought was quite nice. The potatoes, meat and a little spicy sauce went well together. What surprised me what the Gumma which I loved it! What made me loved it was the thin pastry which tasted so good with a slight sweetness made the dumplings so delicious and tasty. Definitely recommend these 2 local dishes in this restaurant and its definitely worth a visit. Probably bring something thick if you want to sit outside. Meal was also very reasonable and cheap.

One of the best places in Khiva. We’d been there two times in a row. We had plov, grilled fish and shashlik. Everything was delicious, freshly cooked. Reasonable prices and amazing personnel.

Restaurante situado a 5 minutos de la puerta oeste de la ciudad. Comida rica a precio razonable. Me gustaron los barak tuhum, que son unas empanadillas hervidas típicas de esta zona. También curiosos los noodles de eneldo. Tienen cerveza local a 30.000 sum. Se come en el patio exterior en mesas tradicionales.

The best restaurant of the touristic part of Khiva. And I have tried lots of restaurants, so I can make a fair judgement. The food was of very high quality, which is rare in the touristic part of Khiva. They made some mistakes with the order (I'm a vegetarian and received meat dishes while I told them I don't eat meat). Afterwards they surprised me by offering me free tea and a delicious dessert and charging nothing at all for all the dishes and drinks I had😃. I never experienced this high level of service in all of Uzbekistan (And I've been in multiple cities), hats off Khiva Moon! Thanks so much!🙏🙏🙏
