To order nicely cooked salads, fish and tajine is a really nice idea. At this restaurant, guests can try good mint tea. 4.2 is what Khadija's Kuzina received from the Google rating system.

This is more than a cooking class. Khadija, hussein and amir, open up their home for a special evening to learn, laugh, cook, and connect. You will be blessed by their company! A walk around the local neighbourhood reveals hidden gems of local shops for spices, biscuits,Olives and more. We share tea and sweet treats and get to know each other before starting to cook with Khadija who is a wonderful teacher, a natural, calm and caring. The meal was by far the best we have had so far, and I think it will be the best we have on our trip! You won't regret a magical evening with a lovely moroccon family in their home ❤️ Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person MAD 300–350 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chicken Tajine

We had the most lovely evening with Khadijah and her husband Hussain. It truly is the “cross cultural exchange” that is mentioned on her website. We opted to make rfissa, a dish we’ve never had, as we were a little tired of tagine after two weeks in Morocco. It’s a lovely dish with chicken and lentils. We had our seven year old and three year old with us and they had a great time with Khadija’s son Amir. They were very gracious having our young children in their home. We even had an impromptu music lesson which the kids loved. We had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. We mentioned wanting to purchase some spices and Hussein took us to a shop and helped us purchase some some spices as gifts to bring home. Our cooking class was a highlight of our time in Morocco. I definitely recommend booking a class! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
What a wonderful experience! So much more than a cooking class. We were welcomed into Khadija & Hussein's home and immediately made to feel comfortable and relaxed. We began with a traditional Moroccan welcome of sweet mint tea and pastries- yum! Then delightful chitchat getting to know them both and their history. Not long after our arrival, their sweet son, Amir arrived home from school. What a character- and helped to entertain the others while we were having our lesson. In addition, we met family members that popped in for a hello-lovely unexpected pleasures. Khadija is an excellent teacher and brought so much joy and enthusiasm in preparing the dishes, explaining everything step by step. Not a wonder that the results were delicious! The cooking lesson may be what draws you to Khadija & Hussein, but believe me- it is so much more and we could have never had that experience in some big professional cooking school! Afterwards, Hussein took us to buy spices and a tagine. As well, the same night sent all the recipes with detailed instructions. The communication throughout was excellent. If you are in the area-please sign up for one of Khadija & Hussein's classes and if not- it is worth a detour! We hope to see them again one day. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a lovely experience cooking with Khadija and Hussein. Such a welcoming family. Khadija is such a skilled creative chef willing to impart her knowledge and work at your skill pace.. Their home is welcoming, the work set up is spacious and has been well executed to accommodate large parties and most importantly is super clean. khadija offers a variety of dishes to choose from. I chose a seafood and fish pastille, and learnt some great tips on how to transform basic ingredients such as carrots into something so flavoursome that I will definitely be recreating at home. I was the only one on this class which was a shame, but none the less they welcomed me with open arms and put in the same amount of effort with me as they would a larger group. The presentation of the final dishes (warm salad, cold salad, pastille, morrocan pancake with amlou) was beautiful, plentiful and most importantly tasted delicious. Hussein is a people person an entertainer with a love of music. An open communicater, we conversed from the onset and it was interesting hearing his perspective on different topics. Kadijah & Hussein are clearly passionate about what they do. This is more than just providng a supplementary income. To them its about opening up their home and their hearts, sharing the love of morrocan food embracing different cultures, learning through conversation, sharing experiences and building lasting friendships In addition, their son is adorable and playful, I love the fact that at such a young age he is so comfortable around different people being in his surroundings. A credit to Kadijah & Hussein for creating that environment. They are genuine kind hearted couple with great entrepreneurial spirit., I wish them continued success, and hope my little suggestion to Hussein will help them prosper further. Lovely home, lovely family, enjoyed cooking & conversation. Highly recommend if you are in Essariora. Best wishes to you both x Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person MAD 350–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My friend and I loved Khadija's cooking class. First we had some mint tea and cookies, and had a chat with Khadija and her husband Hussein. Beforehand they had send us a list of the different dishes that we could make. We chose to make a lamb and vegetable tajine (you can choose more main dishes if you want). Besides the tajine, we made a hot salad with eggplant and tomatoes, a sweet cold salad and traditional Moroccan bread. They both speak good English. Khadija explained us the different steps of the cooking process. She showed us how to do certain things and afterwards she let us do it ourselves, which was very nice. At the end me and my friend ate the food. It was very delicious! Khadija even made a super good smoothie as a dessert for us. We definitely recommend this cooking class when you're in Essaouira. Thanks again Khadija and Hussein for welcoming us in your lovely home! We hope to meet you again one day.
We were invited into Khadija and Hussein’s home as strangers but when we left it felt like we were saying goodbye to friends. They are really special people and we sincerely hope our paths cross again. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco. We learned how to make several dishes, then got to sit down and eat them with our wonderful hosts. If you include Essaouira on your trip (and you really should) make sure to book a cooking class with Khadija. You will not regret it!!

We had a wonderful experience at Khadija’s Kuzina cooking class. Both Khadija and her husband, Hussein, were very welcoming with tea and cookies/pastries handmade by Khadija. Then, as we started cooking, Khadija got the whole group involved in the preparation and she was very thorough in her explanations. Everyone was involved and had a great time! Lots of delicious Moroccan food. And lots of fun! Highly recommend!!! Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chicken Tajine

I cannot recommend this experience enough!! It was one of the best nights we spent in Morocco. Khadija and Hussein were incredible! The cooking class/cultural exchange was structured super well. There was a wide range of food options; we chose chicken rfissa and sweet beef tagine. My friends and I helped prepare the food but Khadija ensured there was no way our inexperience could screw it up! The food was delicious and our conversations with Khadija and Hussein (and the musical interludes with Hussein) were just lovely. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The cooking class with Khadija and Hussein was great. We had first a mint tea, and then made a tajine with lamb and dried fruit, an aubergine tomato chutney, a salad, and baked some bread, including a sweet one with honey and argan oil for desert. It was among the best food that we had here in Morocco so far. But it was not about cooking alone: we talked a lot about the life and culture in Morocco and got to know about the social projects they are engaged with. Thank you, Khadija and Hussein for the great time!
