One of the best meals we had in South Africa. Incredibly friendly staff and high quality food in an amazing location. They always offer some vegetarian options. When we were there the Butternut & Sage ravioli was so perfectly balanced - one of my favourite starters. The lentil bobotie was brilliant too. Amazing place to stop for breakfast or lunch while on the road near Swellendam. They are so welcoming and the setting is beautiful. Food was outstanding and service was prompt and friendly. I had my birthday at the Just Amy restaurant yesterday, and the hostess and chef were absolutely fantastic. Not only was the food extremely fresh sourced locally, it tasted phenomenal. The hostess was extremely accommodating and friendly, and we really had a fantastic experience. Could not recommend higher, if you are in the Overberg area. The views are also amazing!

The most outstanding food and service! If you're looking for a place that encompasses family cooking with a contemporary twist - this is the place! PS: The Lamb Ragout Tagliatelle is a must! Unfortunately I didn't get a photo as I was too eager to dive in.

Delicious food, a blend of French and South African, fresh pomegranate juice grown/pressed onsite was tasty. The ambience in the restaurant was luxuriously beautiful and tastefully French, leading to a lovely outdoor space which afforded comfort and views of the property. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, we enjoyed our time here.

The Just Amy restaurant at Jan Harmsgat Country House offers delicious food, great wines and friendly service. We had breakfast and dinner there as we were staying on the property and we can highly recommend them. Our breakfast (included in our lodgings) consisted out of a fresh muesli mix, cheeses and meats, and a hot dish as per your order from the menu. They also serve Terbodore coffee which was very tasty. When we went for dinner we first did their wine tasting which was very good and nicely priced, and thereafter had a drink outside with a beautiful view of the lawns and scattered trees. This is not just a good place to eat - their bar is nicely stocked with a selection of drinks including their own wines and two of Saggy Stones beers on tap. For dinner we both opted for the 2 course option - my wife went for a starter and a main, and I went for a main and a dessert. Both of us thought the food was delicious and nicely presented. Try their Pecan Pie made from fresh pecans from the Jan Harmsgat farm! Our waiters through breakfast and dinner were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We had a very good time and after having a look at their lunch menu I think I will definitely grab something to eat there again.
