Edit: Be careful with takeout, once got disgusting meat balls and raw beef. And the spicy selection is EXTREMELY oily. The drinks are great but the food is VERY hit or miss. The dine in experience was good but take out is iffy. Review changed from 5 to 3 stars. Pho An Hoa is another San Leandro pho restaurant and they're extremely consistent and have very good food.

“Pho Joe in San Leandro: A Decline in Quality”

I recently visited Pho Joe near 85 Degree Bakery in San Leandro, and unfortunately, the overall quality of the food has significantly declined since its inception. One positive aspect is the ample parking available for customers. However, the primary letdown lies in the deteriorating quality of both the Pho and Bun Bo Hue broth and meat.
The broth, once rich and flavorful, has become disappointingly plain. This, coupled with a noticeable decrease in meat quality, makes for a less enjoyable dining experience. While other items on the menu were passable, the general consensus is that the food is overpriced when compared to similar establishments.
Despite the decline in food quality, the customer service remains commendable. It’s evident that the restaurant has taken a step back from its original location, Pho Joe Original, which offered a superior dining experience. Unfortunately, unless there’s a compelling reason, my family and I won’t be returning to Pho Joe in San Leandro.
