First of all, I am very grateful to this restaurant for giving me a completely different experience. It made me know that there are foods saltier than salt in the world. My friends and I came to this restaurant last night and ordered three Schweinshaxe. We waited for about forty minutes and when the food came we were already very hungry. Then I started a dining experience like a nightmare. The roasted pork in this restaurant was completely soaked in salt water (this was what a waiter told me), and the whole dish was completely salty and nothing else. I drank three glasses of water after the first bite. Then I asked for a serving of raw onions in an attempt to alleviate the salty taste of the dish, but it had no effect. I reported it to the waiter four times. I told the waiter directly that your dish was too salty and I couldn’t finish it. Ordinary restaurants would give Some solutions, such as making a new portion or using less salt. I gave feedback four times, remember, four times! They chose to ignore my question and asked me if I wanted to take it away without giving me any solution. I spent three hundred and twenty dollars but I only ate two small pieces of meat. I literally couldn't swallow it because my mouth had lost its sense of taste. I drank a total of nine glasses of water and two glasses of Coke. When it came time to check out, I noticed something was wrong with their bill because they charged me for a small spoonful of diced onions! I didn't see the price of raw onions on the menu, and when I reported the food issue to the manager, the manager was arrogant and said they couldn't fix anything and they wouldn't admit they used over-marinated pork knuckle in an attempt to Longer preservation. They told me arrogantly that German food is salty! I can't understand why this kind of restaurant exists. Is it because people's taste buds are no longer afraid of over-salted unhealthy food? If you want to challenge how much salt you can eat in a day, welcome to this restaurant, I totally recommend it!

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at our first-time visit. The beer menu was great, and available in various sizes. We had the special of the night -- pork sliders on delicious small buns. A side of red cabbage was perfect. Hard to pick a dessert, but opted for delicious cream puffs. Very casual ambiance, great service, owners on site. Hope to be back next time we are in the area.

Loved it. Great food. Great server. We were in germany for the first time this past summer and this place was a less crowded bier garten. My meal (schwienbrate)(my english spelling is awful so dont quote me on the spelling). The sauerkraut fritters were fantastic and the trout schnitzel had a great sauce that had some secret ingredient and a lot of butter. This was like being in munich ... and dont let me get started on the beer...just fantastic overall.

We have wanted to try this place for some time and finally got the chance. Sadly, we were disappointed. Having been to Europe I think we had high hopes. Having said that, we have eaten German food in the states and been pleasantly surprised. My favorite dish here was the potato pancake ... ironically the only dish I felt had flavor. When I say food was missing flavor I mean there was not even salt and pepper. We tried a variety of dishes. Feel that the prices are high for what is being offered. Portions were more towards the small side. Presentation was nice. Service was decent. I am glad we tried this place but do not expect to be back.
*EDIT* In response to the owner: I was not going to send the food back and have it be remade for the fact that I appreciate the difficulty in securing food these days. But, I shouldn't have to ask for seasoning in my food, it should come with it. I also stated I was happy to experience this establishment just most likely wouldn't return. However, I really would like to point out I never once said I couldn't afford the food I just mentioned it was pricey. I find it very rude that you would assume someone cannot afford your food and if that is the case perhaps you agree it is too expensive for what you provide.

We stopped in to the Jaeger Haus on a whim while on a Sunday drive. We live two hours away and I honestly think that we'll be making the drive back to the area just to take the rest of our family to dinner there. The owner was very nice and enthusiastic about his food. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding. If you're going to be within two hours of them just go. You won't be disappointed.
Update: We've been back twice and if possible it's been even better. We were there tonight with family ages ranging from 25 to 95. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
Have to say that we were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality, accommodation, friendliness and absolutely delicious food we enjoyed at Jaeger Haus. We didn't know it was a reservation-only establishment. Even so, the owner squeezed us in and served us our food as quickly as possible - all with a smile and no loss of quality in their delicious food. It was the best German food we've ever had. Highly recommend Jaeger Haus! 👍🏽
We came to Jaeger Haus for a pre-show dinner, so we were in a hurry to order and finish a 4 course meal. Fortunately, the server Laurele came to the rescue and prepared the scrumptious deserts in advance. Pear ice cream, apple strudel, windbeutel, and haus made ice cream sundae were all to die for! But I’m speaking too soon, since I prefer sweet before savory entrees. Jaeger Haus won me over with the best pretzel I’ve ever had - Bayern Pretzel, and topped with Chicken Liver Pate. Who knew that the salted butter would be out of this world, when combined with the succulent Beaverkill Trout Schnitzel and Rahm Schnitzel. Jaeger Haus and its staff never fail to surprise you, but most of all you feel like you’re at your grandmother’s home while the whole family’s mouths are watering in anticipation of the next dish
