We found this place by accident on a really hot day when looking for a spot for lunch! The owners were welcoming and showed us to a table with a fan. The food was great; we've traveled a lot in Asia, and this is one of the best seafood places we've been to! The food was really good and freshly made. The place was clean, tables were well-kept, and they changed the cloth after each customer. Some people complain about no air conditioning and expensive food, which we think is ridiculous. We paid about £21 (127 MYR) for four dishes, three drinks, and a massive sea bass fish, which was an amazing deal for the quality of the food! These people work so hard to serve their customers, but some people just don't want to pay a fair price for their excellent service! We went here 2 times while travelling at Langkawi. 1st experience was good. So we decided to have our dinner there again. Unfortunately 2nd visit was terrible as the tables were full that day. And the service was sucked so does the food. Can clearly see the fish is not cooked but the boss say this is normal. And we paid for full amount. P/S: No explanation needed. If you really want to do something you already did when we were there. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I found this very nice Chinese seafood restaurant. ordered sweet n sour fried fish, crab soup, vege and fried rice for diner... All foods taste was great, specially to my Chinese wife...then we visited 2days later again which is the day before we leave Langkawi. Price is very affordable. Even you can get a simple dish for a tasty meal.... Restaurant is just about 50m inside from main road. But it's not a big deal.... I strongly suggest to everyone who looking for enjoy food and time... They also have beers, wine, and cocktails. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Fish was fresh and good but the rest was really disappointing especially the steamed crab. It’s full with garlic and very salty. The condiments had totally covered the seafood flavour. Lala soup was terrible, it’s like msg + water with some random vege. The portion for small size is also very small, make sure to order more. Service is good but I could not recommend any of the food except the fried fish. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 40–60 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Fish

To each his own of course, but I am surprised that this place receives an average of 4+ stars. Are reviews generally inflated for eateries in Langkawi, because tourists make up most of the patrons and therefore they have no basis of comparison for what is considered good in Malaysia? This review is written more for local Malaysians in search of familiar food while on cuti-cuti Malaysia. My advice is: no expectations, no disappointment. Our oyster omelette came as a wafer-thin piece, the complete opposite of fluffy, and one has to struggle to make out the oyster shreds in it. By taste alone I would not have believed you had you told me it contains oysters. My mistake lies in expecting the usual 蚝煎 (orh jian / orh luak) served in Chinese restaurants, the one with the chewy-gooey texture, and uh, visible whole oysters. Like I said, drop all expectations and maybe, just maybe, you would not be disappointed. The claypot tofu was watery (on second thought, why is it watery? a little bit more cornstarch wouldn't hurt) and worse, most of the egg was stuck to the sides of the claypot, and was burnt. As in, not the pleasant-slightly-burnt-egdes of a sunny side up kind of burnt, but burnt burnt. Charred even. I swallowed it down only because I am not one to waste food. Their signature Islandish chicken is nothing to write home about, in fact, I would probably skip this dish if it was part of the offerings in a Zhap Fan (economy rice) stall. It is basically fried chicken pieces coated in sweet black sauce. Portion wise, the small is really small. I would not have minded the portion size if the taste was good, but alas, it was nothing but. There is much room for improvement. For those driving, drive past the restaurant, and you will see a fairly large area with more than enough space to park. No need to jostle for a parallel parking spot along the busy Jalan Pantai Chenang.

We really enjoyed this place. In 2 meals we tried lobster with garlic butter, sweet and sour chicken, Thai curry prawns, spicy squid with lime juice, vegetables with oyster sauce and prawns with petai beans. Everything was delicious. Staff were great... Thoroughly recommend Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Have eaten seafood all over the world and this is some of the best ive ever had. Service was excellent and friendly, food was to die for. Dont let the looks of the place deceive you the quality of the dishes speak for themselves. Do yourself a favour and just eat here. The food is good, but the price is a bit high. Maybe it's a tourist area. Came here for dinner in the evening and chose to sit outside, but was disturbed by many flies and was forced to sit inside. It's much more comfortable inside, but unfortunately the space is a bit small and cramped. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 60–80 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
