First and last time ever here. We sat down party of 4 ordered everything exactly the same the taco dinner. Food was excellent and very good. We had an issue with the jukebox being too loud . We asked that they turn it down and the owner said we can’t turn the music down. We asked our waitress with the hello kitty short if she could turn it down and she did. The music was still loud so our waitress turned it off for us. The owners wife was very rude and disrespectful and said other people are paying for the music for it to be on. She was asking why am I taking pictures and I told her why because I’m writing a review. I’m annoyed at the whole situation because it could’ve been handled different. The food here is delicious. Service wasnt the best but it was beacause they were extremely busy and only had 2 servers. This was my first time visiting this establishment. I am pleasantly surprised. This is a hidden gem! The food is great and the leftovers taste even better. The portion sizes are large enough for two people. Next time we're sharing. The ceviche is amazing, I just wish they gave seconds (lol). This is not your normal Mexican restaurant. For starters, instead of chips and salsa, they bring ceviche. This is a seafood restaurant. We were very impressed. I had a half pineapple stuffed with seafood and pineapple pieces. My wife had shrimp in a garlic and guaillo pepper sauce. Extremely impressed by this lil hole in the wall. The food was AMAZING. Almost entirely shrimp, this isn't your traditional Tex Mex restaurant, this is Mexican seafood. So good. Reminded me of growing up on Galveston island. The service was slow, but it was 2 lady's in a crowded restaurant. Everyone seemed happy, everyone around us finished their plates. Del Mar #4 is SO good! Very authentic, with a strong influence from the coast. The guacamole reminded us of a ceviche, it was absolutely delicious! My fiancée thought it was the best guac she's ever had. She also ordered the chicken fajitas. They were delicious! I ordered the tampiqueña de pollo, which was also fantastic! The portions are also very generous. We ordered takeout, which was ready very quickly. Service was very courteous. Next time we go we will definitely branch out and try the seafood offerings. Food is great as well as service. The music is too loud, and the staring from the drunk male customers is disgusting. I've been here twice and both times have had to tell both men to stop.
