amazing authentic food with a modern twist! great atmosphere and friendly staffs. right on the beach so you can spend a full day here eating and relaxing. also a great working space! will definitely be back. i recommend the chicken massaman curry and the fried chicken. we had banana fritters with icescream for dessert and it was delicious! Really nice relaxed atmosphere on the beach. Beautiful view. This restaurant is very popular with tourists. The food was extremely well presented and taste was OK (not the best in Samui). Some of the drinks we had were not great - lemon shake and young coconut - may be we were unlucky. The service was good. Overall a very good restaurant. Amazing place to be for its serenity, cozy, romantic beach and breathtaking view. We came as a couple and we fell in love with Hug Samui immediately. Their spa massage menu (2 - 2.5 hour session) is definitely a must-try. It starts off with a cool steam corner within the beautiful Thai garden. And their professional masseuses will then pamper you to lead you into the deepest relaxation you could ever wish for. We love the freshness and richness in flavor of their food. It's super tasty and savory! Sunset is breathtaking of course ( as many comments already mentioned). What we love the most of Hug Samui : is their wholeheartedly, sincere , positivity and attentive service. Last but not least, we also enjoyed the romantic stargazing beach walk and had one of the best sleep we had in Samui (their double bed is spacious and very comfy !) We do love each single details of this place. Already looking forward to the re-visit next time ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Service: it depends on what staff they have today. There is a guy, that can give u amazing service, my mark for him is 9/10… but other staff is friendly, but regular, nothing special. Food: it depends… smoothie bowl is disappointing, but the Thai cuisine is good, not exceptional, but good… Vibe: always good! U can swim here, have sun bathes, a massage etc… I like this place, but it is not 5. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Beautiful beach bar/ restaurant, lovely kind staff, very efficient. The food was nice, I had the one dish, however there wasn't quite enough chicken and the sauce was a little thinner then I expected for a curry paste dish. Half a chicken was tasty. We ate here every day of our trip and it is the best place in Koh Samui! The service, staff and food were all excellent and made for a wonderful experience. Right on the beach , it was a convenient and delicious environment. There was something here for everyone. Must try : papaya salad, spicy fried pork balls , and deep fried snapper. We had some great food reasonably priced with the best view. The staff are well trained and the customer service is great. The menu is bigger than you would think for a beach bar. A beautiful beachside spot that serves delicious food and drinks at a very reasonable price. All the Thai food we tried were delicious, used very good ingredients and we were happy with every single dish. Service by the staff was warm and faultless. Very disappointed with this place after seeing all the nice reviews. Was looking forward to a good meal here as we are staying very close. We ordered the “fresh” fruit juices, more like freshly poured from the carton. I literally watched them pour it from the carton. Inexcusable for a Thailand beach restaurant. I could understand this at a bar slinging drinks to drunk Europeans but there is no reason to not be serving fresh fruit. This is the first time I’ve experienced this in multiple visits to Thailand. Also, a lot of places are guilty of trying to cater to everyone’s tastes but why have such an extensive menu? Thai food is amazing. If I want spaghetti I’ll go to Italy. Be yourself. If you can’t make fresh fruit juice like almost every other establishment in this country is doing how can you be trusted to cook a menu more suited for 3-4 different restaurants. Do better. Maybe we’ll try again next time. Service was good but the lack of a crowd in low season makes it awkward for this over staffed establishment. Edit: their reply shows the disconnect of the owners and their base. I didn’t have a one off bad experience at their restaurant. The restaurant is just a lazy representation of what Thailand is. They obviously only saw the star and didn’t read my comments. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
