Disappointed. Found a hair when almost done eating, which is definitely ruined everything. The stir fry rice noodles is mediocre at best, and it supposed to be a very common Cantonese dish. The soy sauce combination tastes fine until I see the hair. BTW I like the soy beans idea (prevent food dipping in the sauce for too long and enhance the flavor at the same time) but with the price paid, it feels a little cheesy. I rarely rate a restaurant with only one try, but finding hair in food is definitely a stop sign. Parking and the interior decor might be the best/strongest suit about this place. The waiter is very lovely, and the food is awesome. My friend, who is from Guangzhou, really like the noodle there, and he said it is pretty authentic. The shrimp is also pretty good. I would love to come there again for another food. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30

Not bad but maybe I need to order something different more to my liking. Came here with friends and one of them paid so I can’t comment on price. Parking is a tiny lot but thankfully we found parking. There are plenty of seats inside and it’s pretty clean. I liked the pictures they put up and they have the typical cooked duck hanging in a window. I tried their hong kong milk tea and coffee mixture and it tasted good but if you are lactose, stay away! It later on destroyed me. Henry’s cuisine HK Milk Tea Coffee combo is a lot better (tastes better and doesn’t hurt your stomach)! I stayed away from the wontons cause I heard they had shrimp. I thought i would be safe with dumplings but prob my fault for rush ordering and the dumplings ended up having fat shrimp inside of it! I just ate the veggies and egg noodles (those were good). I also had a bite of my friend’s meat and rice dish and it was pretty good (I have a pic of it). I would come back but will definitely be careful what I order (shrimp is so bleck). Always hard to find great wontonmein outside of Hong Kong, but this place is pretty darn good for California and has great BBQ duck and pork as well! The chow mein and mabo tofu were also well above average and fell within classic HK quality standards. Every bite made my family happy.

I've always see lines out the door for this small Cafe and decided to check it out. The seating area is quite small do you'll end up waiting for awhile. Food: 1. Our group ordered the house special fish porridge. At first thought, I imagined it to have big chunks of fish meat in it but in reality, they're very small chunks of tilapia meat. What I didn't think was that they'd include peanuts in it as well. There was also a whole lots of ginger slices, which I'm not a fan of. Be careful though because you may come across bones and scales in the porridge. 2. Wonton and dumpling noodle soup. The noodles were hard and didn't seem fresh to taste. The wonton and dumplings were great and was flavorful. 3. Char Siu Pork and duck noodle soup. The pork was ordinary like any other Chinese restaurant that serves it. I particularly thought the duck was moist but I'm sure it would've been even better when it wasn't soaked in the soup. 4. Crispy Beef Brisket. It was truly crispy and I've never thought of a dish like this. However, the meat isn't as tender as you'd hope but still good. It also comes with a sweet sauce and that's what makes it a good dish. Eating it without the sauce, it's bland and doesn't taste like anything. 5. Chinese donut. This was crispy and has a little salt in it. A bit oily in my opinion but at least they fry it right then and there and doesn't seem like they microwave it. 6. Hong Kong Milk Tea..as good as it tastes in Hong Kong. Service: Better than most Chinese restaurants but there was one lady who tells at other workers and it scares the hell out of me. I'm sure that's just her personality but still, the restaurant is small so everyone hears it.

Me like, delicious foods especially the wonton soup. They don’t hold back on anything but the price is kinda pricey expect around $15 up but it worthwhile if you’re a fan of real Chinese foods.
Place was clean and friendly. My first time there and did not expect that they did not have some of HK favorite. I ordered curry with beef. Beef was nor tender and not enough sauce. I had too much white rice left Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
It was our first time there. We were going to try the duck. The duck was ok. However, the fish and also the stir fry vegetable dish were delicious. We consumed it picnic style in nearby Smith’s park. Ho Kee Coffee is easily one of the better Chinese restaurants we have been to lately. Customers come from all walks of life. We saw a Porsche SUV and Lexus SUV parked outside. This restaurant has plenty of free parking. The restaurant is across the public library of the City of San Gabriel. Covid19 Measures are in place. Indoor dining is allowed as of November 2021. The store front features some nice wooden benches We also went for beverages. The milk tea and a dessert fungi beverage been very flavorful. However, it was a little bit to shock sugar in it for my taste. That’s just me so.

The roasted duck is delicious and very juicy. Loved this place. Service is excellent. Every dish we ordered was delicious. All dishes we ordered came out of the kitchen so fast. It’s just like eating in Hongkong. We had pork bbq, duck, mixed veggies, wonton soup, and beef chow fun. Place is very full during dinner time on Friday-Sunday. Got to the cafe at 6:30pm on Friday and the place looks deserted. 30 minutes later the restaurant got full and a line started to pile outside. Trip is to get there early before 7pm.

Place is a bit small, and there is not a lot of parking space available. So far I have tried their porridge, wonton noodle, Ma-po tofu, flat noodle with beef, soy sauce chicken and their duck, they all taste pretty good. But one bad thing is that the restaurant is very loud, so make sure they got your order correct. Two out of three times we went here, our order was messed up.
