Great family style restaurant. All food very tasty with natural flavour not too much seasoning, fresh ingredients. Staff (family members) are friendly, the gentleman that serves us was super helpful and polite. Highly recommend this place. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–200

Wow. Really good quality restaurant in Pinglin, which was unexpected. Just the basic typical environment for Taiwanese local restaurant but really kind and helpful service along with quality food. Our first time here so ordered the lower NT1200 set meal for two and each dish was uniquely tea-infused of a traditional Taiwanese dish. Slightly pricey but big portions (enough for three, maybe even four!). The vermicelli noodles had tea oil which had a rich fragrance, and stood out for me. Deep fried fish also great since I don’t usually eat the skin but in this case I did since it was so crispy and well seasoned. Goose meat was unusual but I started to like it more with each bite. Soup had tea flavor and had lotus root slices and chicken. Deep fried tea leaves were tasty too (maybe it was more the batter rather than the leaf itself). The free tea was authentic tea (not tea bag lipton red tea), and tea jello was also authentic (even my mom finished it all and she doesn’t usually like dessert). The tea flavor may be strange for some but you should be able to enjoy the culinary experience anyway. I would return and try other dishes next time (though I would order the vermicelli noodles and fish again). About 6-7 parking spaces across from the restaurant and also one entrance to the riverside walk path is there too. Take a walk after a big meal.

A surprising find in the town of Pinglin. Loved their fried fish, which was fragrant, moist, and tender. Another must eat is their fried tea leaves.

We had our best meal so far in this restaurant. With two vegetarians in our group we had many options and the staff was friendly and helpful, pointing us all the veggie options. Delicious food!

This is an absolute gem, hidden among the pebbles! If Could give it 10 stars I would! When we went there we had Tea goose , Tea Steam Bass, Tea noodles, free run chicken soup and some green veggies. All the dishes were heavenly delicious, my fav was the Tea Goose and my wife liked the Tea Sea Bass steamed with some herbs! Not to mention the owners were super kind they even offered a free tea tour around Ping ling! 🙏 Mind you it was the offseason and they were not extremely busy as in the summertime or on holidays! I’m planning to come back to Pin Ling just to taste the food and to connect with wonderful hosts one more time! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Tea leaf is the special produce of this area. This restaurant may not look spectacular outside, but it is a great place to enjoy special Taiwanese style delicacies made with tea leaves. All of the dishes are made with tea leaves or tea leaf extract, and they all taste great. My favourite item is the steamed bun burger with braised pork inside. Also, you don't want to miss the memorable flavour of its chicken soup.

Tea leaves being the local produce in Pinlin, all of its dishes were scented using tea. A set menu for four people consists of 6 dishes + tea jelly costs 2000NTD, expensive considering countryside restaurant prices. Dishes were more oily than expected. Recommended to flush the oil down with a cup of hot tea afterwards.
