I actually really like this Harris Teeter I'm kind of surprised at the negative reviews.
This place is always clean,
the salad bar is always pretty stocked up and clean,
fresh vegetables,
The sushi bar is always neat and pretty stocked up, and for those of you who have an allergy or want to add something you can request a custom roll when the sushi chefs are there.
In which the chefs are pretty accommodating & the sushi is good.
Pretty decent priced salads with fresh ingredients, i don't like the boiled eggs too much though. But I'm pretty picky with eggs.
The guys at the meat station are always pumped and pretty helpful, I'm always asked if I need help within seconds of walking up to this counter.
I love how you can get a discount on certain things at certain times if you have a VIC card. Even meats/steaks.
The in-store cooked Asian food is pretty good too, so are their sandwiches. And the sandwich station has always been friendly to me.
I've always gotten pretty helpful employees, one time a lady even took a few minutes to explain cheese to me and the differences in what they had.
Pretty decent priced flowers too.
Self checkout is pretty easy and if you need help there's always a employee right there to help you with it.
The lines can be a bit confusing as to where to put your stuff especially if you don't have a cart but you'll figure it out.
They do a great job at staying pretty stocked up too.

Go to Giant. The overall experience will be much better. Better stocked, and the staff actually seems like they're there for customer service. However, if you enjoy looking at a screen that says "help is on the way" for 15 minutes, then being completely ignored when someone comes to the area (to help someone else) then I HIGHLY recommend Harris Teeter.

Positives:
• they have food.
• If you want some food with extra unexpected spice, they might also have some hidden surprises. (pic below only bc I've seen this kind of thing a couple of times)
Negatives:
• I don't feel comfy going alone because the people in the butcher area (with one exception) are creepy or misogynistic depending on who you get.
• In one case, the guy called me doll and gave me old meat, then gave my partner (who is a man) fresh meat when my partner went back to get more.
• In another case, I walked up, waited for the gentleman in front of me to finish getting what he wanted, then somehow was cut in line when the butcher asked a guy who walked up a minute after me what he would like when I was clearly there first and we had made eye contact when he was still helping the first guy.
So overall, I prefer other grocery stores.

Tried to call to check the stock of an item. Line just rang for a solid 25 minutes. No one bothered to pick up. 2 locations had been completely out of stock of an item yesterday (which is a regular occurrence for this item. So you'd think theyd request more), so I wanted to call before I bothered to stop. I let my call hit the 25 min mark, and then I just gave up. Poor customer service.

Thanks for carrying us through COVID. Your store in Manassas was instrumental in the continuance of normality here in Virginia. Attached are some of the plates I prepared based on what your customers. We thank you. Harris Teeter is a great place to shop. Find almost everything you need. People are friendly. Prices comparative. Wonderful shopping experience

Great location that is always stocked with both fresh and on shelf items. Great place to pick up a quick lunch while shopping and there is a Starbucks inside!

Harris teeter has the best sandwiches. And their half sandwiches are big and filling. I love their italian sandwich.

I LOOOOOVE this place. I consume a whole foods, plant based diet and the price for the tempeh here is the cheapest I've seen it. So are a lot of their other produce. Clean store, quality food. The oven-ready lasagna is amazing and the Harris Teeter brand imported arrabiata sauce is AWESOME in my vegan lasagna. It's all I use. (Nice, spicy kick.) The post below is ratatouille using ingredients bought from the store. If my 3 yo and husband loved it...lol

Would prefer if the lanes were normal shopping lanes, very confusing when every other shopping center in every other state works normally.
