Beautiful restaurant. The high ceilings and fixtures gave an elegant feel when dining. I could easily see it being a beautiful venue for any upscale dinner party.
However the food was dramatically lacking in flare and flavor. Found it bland and unappetizing.

I neither hate myself, nor do I not recognize good Asian food.. I have eaten at Happy several times, and each time I have enjoyed the food I have ordered. Instead of hurling insults at previous posts, I do know that Happy was chosen as one of the top 100 Chinese restaurants in the States. The food is good. I have dined in Chinese restaurants all over the West, Chicago, the Cayman Islands, the South. Happy competes.

Hello,
I grew up in the Idaho Falls area, but I no longer live here. Every time I come to visit home, no matter how short of a stay, I always stop to eat here. The hot and sour soup is the best that I have ever had in all of my travels. I order hot and sour soup at every new Chinese restaurant I dine at in hopes that it will be nearly as good, and it never measures up to Happy’s hot and sour soup. I am a trained chef, and I can not stress this enough, if you have never tried their hot and sour soup please give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Worst Chinese food I've ever had, everything was very bland. The spring rolls were almost completely cabbage and I'm not sure how a Chinese restaurant makes bad fried rice but Happy Chinese accomplished it. The people leaving five stars must not like food or they hate themselves.

Very tasty food and very friendly staff. Tried their soup of the day (beef and vegetable) and it was very tasty. You could really taste the broth along with the vegetables. Great presentation too! Easy to find parking and navigate the parking lot.

The General Tso chicken is amazing, also the Lo Mein is really good. I’ve got the Sichuan chicken once and it wasn’t my thing. I’ve only got my food to go. Happy’s is one of my favorite Chinese places in town.

Food was Delicious. My 4 yo leaned to me and said, "this chicken is my favorite!" About the sweet-n-sour chicken. It was my favorite too. Salad or soup comes with the entree. They were out of soup but we came an hour before close. We learned that if you have 5 or more people they will automatically add a 15% tip. My husband was confused about how the bill was so much. Went back and then crossed off his tip since we had already tipped per the 5 and up people rule. Getting 4 entrees and the rice with them filled our 6 person family! Thanks for feeding us tonight!❤
I've been here a couple times, and each time I'm thrilled that I can take any dish and substitute tofu for meat. You cN even order General Tso's Tofu here by substituting out the chicken! The staff are friendly, too, and quick to give good service.
I'm intrigued by the building, as well. Even though it has Chinese decorations, a look at the ceiling or floor has an old west feel. The building itself feels somewhat old, too, and has a lot of character. I found it enjoyable to sit in and eat, but a takeout meal would also be great.

This place is a joke. Over priced with no flavor. Maybe I’m expecting too much coming from NY. This was our first try at Chinese in Idaho Falls. The worst Chinese in NY is light years beyond this garbage. Good luck to all who attempt to swallow this mess! $40.00 down the drain.
