Hanshin Pocha finally opened in Oakland’s Temescal neighborhood. Yay! The Best Late night spot for Korean Street Food and it’s so good!! Everything we ordered was so delicious and full of flavors! The Korean Fried Chicken was delicious, it was sweet, spicy and crunchy. The chicken feet is a must order- fall off the bone collagen deliciousness with a hint of sweet and spicy, it would be so good with some beer or Soju. The DIY Rice ball was so much fun to make, and the BBQ pork with cheese was so good. Make sure to bring your friends and family for a yummy dinner or late night snack with delicious drinks! So much fun. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Spicy Stir-Fried Squid

Happily surprised for the quality!! The food feels authentic but modern. Great flavors for all tastes!! I got the chicken gizzards with garlic fries ( really good!) the spicy chicken with cheese plate is delicious! And the dumplings with the rim crunchy base is very different but excellent too! I would love to come back and try more interesting dishes designed for a new generation in a cool place with chil music and decorations… there are also games to play with friends 😃 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Nice drinks and food place to spend the evening with friends. Surprisingly good teokbokki and fried chicken. A limited selection of draft beer, I wished for a bit more, and the typical soju for soju bombs. Very Seoul-ful chimek feel! Korean restaurant different than many I’ve been to! This one really pushes the chicken feet dish, which I’ll have to try when I go with more adventurous eaters next time. We got this spicy chicken and mozzarella dish. The chicken was 10/10, the highlight of everything we ordered. Too much cheese for me but it had major wow factor when it hit the table which made up for it. We also got some dumplings with the crispy skirt. This was definitely severely undercooked, you can see spots where the corn starch/flour mix barely had evaporated the water out of it. Was floppy and chewy, should have been crisp and easily breakable. All in all had wonderful time and would recommend checking this out if you’re in Temescal. Everything we order was so delicious, it was hard to give a rank. The staff are friendly and genuine. The food came out pretty quickly and served hot. (Sorry for lack of pictures, we got excited😅) My favorite ones are Pork BBQ with Cheese and Steam Egg. The fried rice was a bit too spicy for me. Will definitely come back to try other dishes 😇😇😇 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Spicy Pork BBQ with Cheese

Very good food, good vibes and great customer service!! My favorite dishes are DIY Rice Ball, Pork BBQ with Cheese, and Kimchi Soup. Will be back to try out the Dakbal (chicken feet) which is propagated to be Hanshin’s popular dish.

Cool spot, love that it's open late. All the cool people are here for sure. Food and vibe feels like Seoul. Yummy food (chicken and beer, pork and cheese) and great, friendly (and really cute) staff. This is the type of restaurant and vibe we've been needing in Oakland for so long. Hope we see more like it. Can't wait to bring more of my friends here. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
Great option for hanging out and having korean bar food. The food is all decent but it’s overall a reliably easy restaurant to get into even with a big group. The staff are attendant and when they got an item wrong they just let us keep it to avoid throwing it out and also gave us the correct item. The prices are also very good especially for the bay area. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes DIY Rice Ball
Love this place! Great ambiance down to the choice of tables and chairs (has a very street food feel). Kpop in the background just loud enough to make the place feel lively without drowning out conversation. The food was awesome (we had the mandu with corn cheese, pork pancake, fried chicken over green onion salad, and kimchi fried rice) not to mention very reasonably priced. I’m so glad to have another tasty late night option in Oakland. It was fairly empty on a Tues night at 8:30 so everyone please go and support this new establishment!
