Pretty average food, didn't have alot of flavour. I had spring rolls , tasted okay personally I thought they needed cooked more as they weren't crispy. For my main I had teriyaki beef. Swapped salad for veggies. I was thinking nice chunks of cauliflower and broccoli maybe peas. I got two little pieces of broccoli and huge chunks of mushrooms! Never had this kind of stir-fry with mushrooms, very disappointed Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Delicious! We ordered a lot more but ate it all before I got a chance to take a picture. Was so good and was friendly for our kids to dine in as well. Clean establishment with really nice decor we will be making this a regular dining experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food here in Hana Japanese restaurant was delicious. The dishes were generous and reasonably priced. They were both aesthetically pleasing and seasoned perfectly. I'll be back!!! Nice environment, delicious food, and the most important thing is value for money. The size is big with a reasonable price. And the sushi is also good, not too much rice like other cheap sushi. I ordered vegie udon and 1 spicy salmon roll sushi and full. The prawn tempura and eel are also beautiful. No complaint at all. Update: I would like to recommend all of the Bento Box. They are good, balanced, big size, and valuable for money. I would like to suggest you ring and order in advance 15 minutes before you arrive and the food will be ready. I'm never disappointed. That was really awesome when I came with a support worker for lunch yesterday. I took a close-up photo of my lunch dish consisting of a bowl of rice, another one of coleslaw, and eel covered with brown sauce, which could be similar to a plate called Teriyaki Unagi from one of the restaurant photos combined. Luckily, I had a glass of Heineken as the weather was so hot. I also went to a restaurant a few times for dinner with some family members and a few friends. So good!! Great vegan, GF options. The vegetarian sushi has apple in it, I've never tried that before and it's really good! Their sushi is good value as the rolls are thick and full of fresh ingredients. The staff are really friendly and kind. The service is quick, too. It would be nice if you used eco friendly takeaway packs! The atmosphere is calm and tidy. Cute wee restaurant :) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Best Japanese restaurant in Dunedin. Tasteful, great price with the massive portion for Bento box. Love the tempura, light and crispy coating, fresh prawn and veggies. You'll feel appetite with the presentation of the meals. Chicken and Prawn spicy Bento box is the best, big portion, must try. Udon noodle soup is the great option to warm up your body. Will back next time definitely to try other dish. Good services and nice homy place. Easy to get car park nearby.
