We dined today at this Ethiopian restaurant and had an exceptional experience. From the moment we entered, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. We ordered two different fish dishes, including one vegetarian and one beef dish! The highlight of our meal was the vegetarian combo we ordered. The flavors were simply amazing! Each dish was bursting with authentic Ethiopian spices and cooked to perfection. The variety of dishes in the combo allowed us to sample a wide range of flavors and textures, and I was thoroughly impressed with the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Not only was the food outstanding, but the presentation was also beautiful. Each plate was carefully arranged, showcasing the vibrant colors and enticing aromas. This review is really about the food. Stopped in for dinner tonight and got the vegetarian exclusive (#16). I love authentic ethnic food and it’s been a while since I’ve had exceptional authentic African cuisine. The depth and diversity of flavors on my plate were ridiculously out of this world. Really great food. The Hegere Exclusive has small portions of almost everything on the menu. It is filling and the bread that comes with it is like a sourdough flatbread that you can't get enough of. No need for silverware as you pick everything up with torn pieces of bread. Also, don't forget to try the Ethiopian coffee, it is strong, but very flavourful. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Excellent authentic Ethiopian food with huge portions and great prices. We also got the traditional coffee service with incense and popcorn. What a unique experience; we now have a new favorite coffee shop as well as restaurant so we will be back often. I only leave a review when something is either very good or very bad. The service here is terrible. My partner and I have dined in here multiple times and ordered takeout. He ordered food today and was so disappointed with his treatment. The lady behind the counter barely acknowledged him, took the order and before he could finish (he wanted to order coffee too), started speaking to another lady behind him in Ethiopian. He received his food AFTER several other people who seemed to be regulars. It is so sad because he always makes a huge effort to learn about other cultures and knows parts of at least eight different languages to be able to greet people. He has many friends of different cultures. If you've had a bad experience with a customer, please don't take it out on others who would only ever treat you with love and respect. We still love the food. Go to Lalibela, they are wonderful all-round and so friendly. Also the African Market on 18th for injera and spices. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

This is the best Ethiopian restaurant I've ever been to! I ordered the vegetarian combo, it was outstanding! All of the food was very flavorful and fresh! The service is fast and courteous, the facility is clean and well kept. Definitely stop in and give this place a try!
