Definitely a neighborhood gem in SGV. My friend has been bragging about their egg tarts and Cha Shao Bao ( BBQ pork bun) for awhile. I finally had a chance to visit the bakery today.
My friend was right, their egg tarts looked very good and massive and the price is less than $2. The crust was very crispy and the egg fillings was mouth watering good. The Cha Shao Bao’s were very tasty too. They make them like the ones in Hong Kong. The BBQ pork fillings were very flavorful and tasty. The buns were fluffy too. That’s a great combination for a good bun. The price for the BBQ pork bun is also very reasonable. No body can beat their prices let alone their taste.
I also got the cocktail bun as well. The bun was very fluffy and the filling inside with shredded coconut was so good. You can’t get this kind of taste from a dim sum restaurant. Like my friend said, “ this is my kind of bakery that gives good quality, great value and taste for their products”.
They bakery has other Asian sweet breads too. We didn’t have a chance to try them out. Will be back for more. We definitely will be frequenting this bakery more .
For fellow Yelpers who check in on Yelp app, with minimum of $1 purchase, you can get a free ice milk tea. That’s a good deal.
Parking is easy, plenty of spots on the street and in the back.
Nice place, great service, and great price. I come here for the pork sung bread. Absolutely divine ✨️ 🤭 of course, the other selections of bread there are great as well. I'm also fan of the blueberry bread they have there.

I am not a pastry guy at all, but in this particular time I was craving a piece of bread or some kind of pastry. So like anyone else I Googled “bakery near me” lol and this place was 3 minutes away. Ok this place is kind of neat it offers several kinds of puffy bread and personal cake slices. So I almost bought one of each but I'm poor so I had to limit myself 😆. I think I will be coming back for more pastries in the near future. Also prices are very descent
Green Wheat Field Bakery is truly a hidden gem in the San Gabriel Valley. This bakery offers a wide variety of baked goods, but what sets it apart from others is its whole, unsliced loaves. The bread is the epitome of fresh, fluffy, and chewy. Not only does it make for a perfect sandwich, but it also adds an extra layer of texture and flavor to any grilled cheese or toast.
One of the best things about Green Wheat Field Bakery is its commitment to quality. Every loaf feels as if it is made the same day, ensuring that each bite is full of flavor and texture. The bakery's attention to detail is evident in every product they sell, from the crusty exterior to the soft and airy interior of each loaf. There have been times when the loaves are completely sold out for the day by noon - so don't be too saddened if that happens to you.
In addition to its amazing bread, Green Wheat Field Bakery also offers a wide selection of pastries, cakes, and buns. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or savory, you'll be able to find something that suits your taste. From cream cakes to soft and fluffy buns, each pastry is made with the same level of care and attention to detail as the bakery's bread.
