First time here, only thing i can say is “amazing”. Staff working here are very helpful and they know there’s business. For starter we have had espressos, which were regular but then vegetable potage made of seasonal veggies, delicious. For main course we ate angus beef and turkey with “mlinci”, portion is just enough for average Serbian male 😂, which means they are big. For salad we took mix green salad with cheese. With every meal u get bread on a side. For dessert we ate white chocolate soufflé. All in all food, cozy ambience, service, parking, prices were on the spot. Every recommendation. I ate at Gradska Kafana twice. The first time was a 4.5/5, the second a 2.5/5 hence the total score I award it is 4.5 + 2.5 = 7 The average score is 3.5 stars out of 5 but I am generous and the service was excellent so I give 4 ⭐out of 5 ⭐ The restaurant was probably an old barn or maybe a chapel in the past because despite being relatively narrow it has very high ceilings. It is advisable to wear a warm sweater because it can get cold inside (especially on the first floor). The menu is identical to 1,000 Serbian Restaurants all over Serbia (zero innovation and no spices added to the dishes besides salt and pepper which is indicative of the generally poor gastronomic culture in Serbia). On the first visit on the evening of the 3ed December the risotto with chicken and mushrooms was delicious (I added my own spices which I bring along whenever I eat out in Serbia) as was the dark chocolate souffle. On my second visit on the morning (11:15 am) of the 7th December I felt as if the owner's 7 or 8 year old grandson or granddaughter was in charge of the kitchen. The mixed green salad with rucola had fresh greens and rucola but it was very salty. When the main course (again risotto with chicken and mushrooms) was brought out of the kitchen the friendly guy behind the bar who was serving me explained that they didn't have mushrooms today so they made the dish with only chicken. He asked me if it was ok. I am not fussy by nature and I certainly don't like to waste food (had they told me before the dish was ready I would choose a different one) so I accepted it without hesitation but in all honesty the risotto was bland without the mushrooms. The apple cake with caramel had delicious vanilla ice cream but the cake was too sweet (it even had biscuit crumbs which is totally uncalled for in a dessert that it already too sweet). I was hungry on my second visit because I didn't eat for sixteen hours so I ate everything but I was not satisfied. Meal type Dinner

We drove all the way from Belgrade to Šabac to celebrate our second Anniversary in this restaurant. They have the best steak we ever had in our life, great service and good ambiance. Highly recommended. We hope they open one in Belgrade. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

This place, in Šabac is fabulous. Stuff is very pleasant, atmosphere is very cozy, music is fantastic (not to loud, not to silent), food is delicious (very good soup). Some meals can be ordered as "half", but price is only 30% less, which I think it is ok...place is equiped with perfect ventilation and air-con. Of course...there is also a terrace tucked away from street and non wanted views. Highly recommend for people who want good food and good service.... Thank you "Gradska kafana"....was very good!!!
