Can never go wrong. Lobster avocado is stunning for $12.95 with a nice piece of lobster tail for a delicious end to the roll. Shrimp tempura as a regular roll is a must. The "fried rice" is just yellow rice with onions. The Szechuan chicken is 90% vegetables with some VERY tiny pieces of chicken and way too much sauce. For what it actually is, it tastes fine, but it's a far cry from what either of these dishes are supposed to be. Service Take out

Cheap, fast and hot food. Quality is what you pay for, fairly basic, greasy fried food. We had an issue with one of the items we were given and the cashier just told us we were wrong and argued. I said thank you when I made my purchase and when food was brought to me, they didn't say anything. I wasn't given my receipt but was charged about 50 cents more than what she told me I owed at the register. I had noticed someone else mentioned that in the reviews before I went so I was paying attention but she threw away my receipt when I asked for it. I won't go back. The food is fantastic, service is pretty standard I don't have anything bad to say about it, and the interior is simple but has nice decor that isn't too over or under the top. The only big critique I have is that the website could be updated a bit, maybe with pictures or descriptions of the food, since you only get pictures of the food if you order in person, and if you're looking at the website or a pamphlet only a few specials have any extra text describing them, and it can make it hard to decide what you want before you get there. Though I suppose that's not the fault of the place itself since I believe there's more than one Golden Wok location? Overall they're a good place, could use a website update but that's not the staff's fault. Would recommend if you're in the area. I'm not happy about my review I'm going to give here because I had high hopes the food would be good. But it wasn't. The moment I walked in the establishment I was hopeful, but had that little voice crying in my ear...don't do it. But going forward i purchased some vegetable fried rice and some vegetable lo mein with sweet and sour sauce. I take it back to my hotel and open everything. The fried rice looked promising but it was covered with a ton of onions. Moved to the lo mein, some of noodles looked dried up. Then I turn to the sweet sour sauce and it was like melted jelly, it was really thick, like it was old. Nothing tasted right. I MOST DEFINITELY will not go back. And for the 3 customers that are probably regulars there, you can have it. Don't waste your money on bad food people. We like the wontons, you can get sushi to go or sit at the counter, the food here is excellent. If you can make it for lunch the luncheon specials are very reasonable on price. We used to frequently order sushi here and it was always fresh and good portions for the price. It’s been getting worse and worse over the past 6 months so we started ordering elsewhere (like samurai next to target). We decided to give it one more try tonight. This was $40. The rolls are smaller than a quarter. Two of them literally are just a piece of fish wrapped in rice, nothing else inside. No sauce, no chopsticks included. I’d say they could blame Covid and inflation but they upped all their prices too. Unfortunately my wife and I will be ordering takeout from somewhere else as well tonight. Ordered general tso chicken picked up brought it home chicken dry dry and tough. Took a few bites and tossed it. I’ve had it before and the few times I did it was okay. So today gave it another chance and ordered same thing same thing, sucked, tough, dry chicken, tossed it. Fool me once so shame on me no third chance. I recently ordered with their website and paid by credit card online. Less than a week later my credit card was used at multiple Walmart locations around the metro, including Bloomington. This was the only place where those card numbers were recently used. The food is good, and I had been a long-time customer, but I likely won't order here again.
