Excellent, good quality Chinese cuisine, very reasonable prices, pleasant, friendly service, quick on their orders. Thoroughly enjoy their pork wonton, beef chow-mein delicious. Surprised this place is still open. The lady seemed disappointed that we wanted to dine in, not friendly. She seemed happiest when we were leaving. Food was edible. Nothing to write home about or suggest people eat here. Not one other customer came in the entire time we were there, nor was there any take out.

I can't remember if the TV dinners from the 70's had a Chinese option but if they did this would be it. The carrot and pea mixture was straight out of the frozen food isle at a discount grocery store. I will say... it was edible, not much more. Not worth the time or money. Horrible food, no flavor, egg fu yung was hard like hockey pucks. Fried rice was not fried, seemed like it had frozen peas and carrots in it and no seasoning. Egg rolls appeared to have been frozen and were a pasty mess. White rice was so over cooked it was like paste on the bottom of the carton. We are new to the area and took a chance. I have been coming to The Golden Lion for many, many years. The food is excellent! My favorite is the Almond Chicken- although I like everything I've ever ordered! The lady who takes orders up front is very nice! Great food! Great service! Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

Yesterday evening I picked up BBQ pork fried rice and vegetable chow mein to go. I hadn't been there in years, but decided to try it again now that I live closer. The fried rice was just unflavored and unseasoned white rice with bits of BBQ meat throughout; there wasn't anything else added that you would typically find in fried rice like scrambled egg, etc. As I was eating the chow mein, there was a black hair in my food! It wasn't mine because I have gray hair! Some of the vegetables in it tasted canned, e.g., baby corn, bean sprouts, mushrooms. I was so very disappointed and will not order food from them ever again. I am going to learn how to make those dishes instead - the right way!! When I made a courtesy call to the restaurant this morning to let them know of the problems, the woman asked if I still had the food; I said yes. I kept it in case they wanted to see what was given to me. She asked if I would like to get a replacement; I said no, but I appreciate the gesture. The food is now in the garbage.
