This is a must try if you have never been here! You will come back and back and back. Great friendly staff. Breakfast, lunch and special dinners (Fridays and Saturdays) have all been wonderful. My family eats here at least twice a week. If you come by at the right time you may even see the allusive Brian WORKING. Otherwise he will be sitting visiting with everyone. Great place! First time at Gold City Diner and was looking forward to trying it out. We ordered burgers Togo and waited for a while for the food. Took the food back home and my burger was tiny, cut in half, and did not have the condiments I asked for. Just seemed like someone just threw it together in a box. Very disappointing. Food: 1

My fiance had been wanting to try, so on a whim we checked out gold city diner. We both ordered the mucker burger which has a fried egg, and potato kegs which were supppppeerrr delicious stuffed tots, bacon cheese and green onions. The man (wish I would have got his name, very nice guy), recommended we try the kegs with their house made ranch. We we're both in heaven! Sweet tea tasted like my mama's, service was good. My daughter who LOVES fresh hot country breakfast just called me to rave about Gold City Diner! She tried just about everything this morning and nothing disappoints. Her words: Hot fluffy biscuits, savory gravy and bacon, OH my gosh those cheese grits…all served with a smile. (Real strong brewed sweet tea to top it off) This momma is so happy for her girl. We stumbled on this gem for breakfast. The tenderloin biscuit was amazing. The miners breakfast was good too. The owner Brian was super nice and friendly. I know this just opened recently but our experience on a whole was bad Both orders were wrong,food was warm not served hot. Both orders had no taste at all ( tomatoes left in refrigerator too long) romaine was core part only and bacon was old and burnt. Also asked for lemon for our water and was handed a package of lemon juice. I believe it would be cheaper to slice a few fresh lemons as needed than to buy packaged lemon concentrate. This place is just what Dahlonega needed. I great little diner. The homemade biscuits are the best! ☕️🍳🥓🎶I wld say the best breakfast joint in town! The atmosphere is perfect for a small town. 😌 They also will be open for dinner Friday and Saturday. My husband and I can not wait to try it then as well.
