I've been to Gino's a couple of times. Their Lasagna is great! I had the Alfredo last time and it's so rich and creamy! The atmosphere is very warm and lively. The servers are amazing (especially for dealing with my step dad). And the breadsticks are to die for. Lovely little Chicago restaurant in Fondy! The food is hot and delicious, personal favorite is the mozzarella sticks, block of cheese sliced, wrapped in a wonton wrapper and fried served with a side of homemade marinara sauce. This place is extremely loud. We ordered the mozz sticks. Flavorless. The lasagne had more cheese than anything else. I love cheese but this was way too much. I don't think the cook knows what salt is. Or basil. Or oregano. The chicken parm was not good at all. The breading was soggy and the spaghetti and sauce? You guessed it. Flavorless. 53 dollars for flavorless food. Will never be back. Worst Italian restaurant I have ever been to. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Stopped here on a whim and they were able to seat all 5 of us right away. Menu was large and service was excellent. Our server has some great recommendations. Breadsticks were an awesome addition. Food came and they were very large portions, tasted great and came out quickly. Highly recommend this place for good Italian food! First time visitor with my daughters. The Chicago style deep dish pizza here is exactly what it’s supposed to be, with gobs of stringy cheese! I also got 5 other toppings, and did not feel that any of them were skimped upon. The bottom of the crust was a tad soggy, but that is kinda to be expected with the moisture from the awesome amount of cheese! Service was a bit slow, especially being seated, but was otherwise very good. Atmosphere was typical old school ‘80’s cozy dim Italian with tons of old Chicago photos adorning the walls. Complimentary bread sticks and sauce was also a plus. Wish their hours went a bit later. I would definitely return here again when in town! Stopped in for dinner had the lagsana it was excellent. The sauce had so much flavor and the cheese was so stretchy I knew it had to be local Grande cheese. The restaurant was clean and my waitress Madi was professional and friendly and answered my questions, and if she did not know the answer she would ask the cook or someone else to get the answer. Its a decent place. It was busy and noisy like an italian restaurant should be. Our server Kristen was good even though we had two little kids and made it hard on her. She was busy but still gave us great service. The food wasnt so good. The calamari was definitely frozen from a bag not fresh and breaded in house. We went because Im a deep dish pizza lover. The pizza wasnt good. It had soggy paper thin crust and like 2 inches of cheese. I choked down a slice and my wife barely took a bite.
