I've had a lot of issues with some of the employees here. Some had literally threatened to fight because I refused to let them pay my son on the head... I've reported several employees here. Their selection leaves much to be desired. If you want a better Giant, go up the road to State Road and find the Giant that's in the same shopping center as the Hibachi. That's a better location, better employees, better selection.

Large, newer, clean but poorly managed. I can never get assistance at the Italian meats & cheese deli station. Customer service sometimes helps, and other times tells me the station is closed. The organic produce is lacking. The prepared foods are full of unhealthy ingredients and low quality. There is a wide variety of packaged foods. The self checkout technology is awful and constantly requires employee assistance. Several checkout stations are usually out-of-service.

They have a huge selection and the store is great. They have tons of different ethnic options for food. It's a great place to go also to get a lunch time meal. The store is huge and very clean. I gave it 4 stars and would've given it 5 if checkout wasn't such a mess. I stood in line for 15 min for self check out. They had 3 registers open with very long lines so I thought self checkout would be better. People had full loads and the girls monitoring had to go from register to register to over ride things. I know Acme and Shop Rite have limits on self checkout items. Giant seems to take every order which also had me standing there waiting for people to move their carts so I could get through. I felt very claustrophobic because it was so packed. They need either more staff during peak hours or put a limit on the number of self checkout items people can buy. They are opening themselves to a large amount of theft by letting people with large orders do self checkout. I love getting food from here during my lunch break but I end up having to eat it in my car driving back to work because I spend half my break waiting to pay for my stuff. If you don't mind the wait in line you should definitely shop here.

One word to describe this place is HUGE! More selection, more check out lanes. The beer layout is impressive. Also a coffee bar and eat in dining section with tables and chairs. Cold food, hot food, sandwiches...there was a lot offered. We went around 7pm (opening day) and it was still crazy busy. Will return in the morning to do a more thorough walk through.

Big grocery with a lot of space and SKUs. Large produce and fresh food sections. Two long aisles of freezer goods. And a cleaning robot I almost bumped into unexpectedly (thought it was a sign).

Produce was far better then the Havertown Giant For someone who cooks from scratch for at least 8 meals a week; and have fruit and salads on the ready for breakfast and lunch, this is key!

I live in Havertown and basically drive by a Giant to get to the Broomall Giant store. Other than the mid to horrible produce, I like the store a lot, I just go to Whole Foods for produce. Customer service are nice. A lot of the employees that stock are rude, walking in front of you when you’re looking at something without saying excuse me, but I guess that’s the world these days…..and some of the deli workers need better training . Theyre all feverishly working on online orders or something and don’t acknowledge the customer right in front of them!! But omg, one night last week, forget the day but it was 8:15pm, some weird woman was working at the self check out- never saw her before -I think I know most of them.. she was probably 60, looked very slovenly, heavy set, short, blonde hair… she was absolutely miserable. Beyond miserable really. We did the scanning machine and had just one product that wouldn’t scan. Not our fault!! My husband was super nice as he asked for help. She let out a loud sigh, slammed over. Typed something in and literally THREW the product in a bag. My jaw was on the ground! She marched back over to her little area and stood there looking mad. I mean this woman was furious! Like we knew her and did her wrong! Holy!! Hope she’s been fired by now, she needs mental help.

Checked out Broomall's new Giant and so happy to have nice new store a mile from us! The new store is bright with many options, they definitely took some cues from popularity of stores like Wegmans. There are pre made food options (wings, rotisserie options, etc), and the produce is fresh. There's even a pick your cherry tomato 🍅 bar! Following trends in PA, there's a very generous beer and wine selection, but you have to check out separately for that (Wegmans does have some lanes that do food and alcohol). They also have small selection of pre marinated meats & butcher counter. Just like any other store, prices for some items are great, others are a little high. The salad bar doesn't impress, and they don't have the large selection of ready to cook meals (family size) like Wegmans does. I'm thrilled though with the offerings and plan to visit a few times a month and limit my Wegmans Malvern trip to once a month. Thanks to Giant for improving on available options in Marple! Tip: If you're getting lunch meat, download the app and order ahead!

I have ordered curbside pickup about six times in the last three months. In every order I request toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, Wipes, etc. I even put different toilet papers and different paper towels in my cart figuring they'll have at least one of them. Not once have I ever gotten one of those items. Tell me giant has no toilet paper... ever? Unbelievable!
