My son and I decided to try Gene’s Tasty Burger for lunch. We both enjoyed our burgers. I had the small cheeseburger combo with fries. My son had the double cheeseburger combo with onion rings. The burgers were very good. The meat is thicker and very tasty. The onion rings were probably the best I have ever had. The fries were very good too. My son also ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. We both enjoyed the grilled cheese too. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend you try Gene’s if you have not been here.

Definitely a gem and place to get american/mexican eats. Server is nice and food comes out quickly. This drive-in had all the character to match its food with putting down some tasty staples. 10% for military too!

Gene's Tasty Burger, in Wichita Falls, TX, is a hidden gem. Located in an older neighborhood, the building is antiquated , yet well maintained and clean. The interior is classic Coke red, black, and white diner style decor. The tables are an aqua blue and neatly arranged and exceptionally clean.
The friendly staff greeted us with a smile when we entered.
Our food was made exactly as ordered -- hot and fresh. I had a small classic cheese burger and onion rings. The burger was juicy and tender, loaded with veggies. I selected onion rings as the side. Wowsers, those were some were delicious, large onion rings -- battered perfectly, with a crispy, crunchy exterior, and tender onion interior. The onion rings were a generous helping, too!
Side note: I noticed a cork board, next to the entrance and kia sign that read "If you're hungry and don't have any money, these meals have been paid for." There were several receipts push pinned to the cork board. Now that's community spirit! Superb!
They serve breakfast, too. We're gonna have to come back again soon.

Local diner style burger spot in the middle of a Wichita Falls neighborhood. The place is small but had a good amount of seating and parking. Very clean inside with friendly service. I had the small double cheeseburger with fries. The burger was just ok and a bit bland. The fries were a bit soggy and unseasoned.

This place just reopened. It was kind of off the highway but well worth it! The ladies were so nice and I had the best burger I’ve had in a long time! Onion rings were great and the fries were real! (Sorry about my name—my grandson did this and I can’t change it!)

I had been hearing on the Bear 104.7 radio station that Gene's was reopened and it had been years since I was there, so I was hungry one evening last week and I decided to check it out. I was really impressed with the remodel of the inside and I ordered a large Cheeseburger with Jalapeno's, fries and a unsweetened tea. The food was outstanding, almost as good if I had made it myself. I highly recommend.

Frisco Chilli Cheese Burger
The food was fast, made from scratch, delicious, and affordable. The interior has been scrubbed, painted, and new floors, looks very nice.
Service? Well, you order your food at the counter, they take your name, then ring your order. The receipt has a place for a tip. I don't like to leave a tip before the service, but I did.
They handed me my drink and told me to sit anywhere. They called my name, and I picked up my food at the counter. Later, I needed a drink refill, I went to the counter and got it. There are big trashcans with signs to not throw away the tray. I bussed my table and threw away my trash.
So I'm not exactly sure what kind of service I tipped for.
Again, the food was scratch made and delicious. It was out in under 5 minutes.
But I'll not leave a tip if I'm gonna wait on myself.
