Walked past Fredericksburg Cupcake heading downtown and didn't even know it existed 😅 I'm so glad I went inside! I couldn't decide, so I got a 6-pack and a to-go egg-less cookie dough (chocolate chip) - SO GOOD! The service was delightful and the cupcakes are delicious. The frosting was fluffy and not overpowering. None of the flavors left more to be desired, my family liked every one of them. We got dark chocolate, mint chocolate, strawberry, vanilla chocolate, and lemon. I can't wait to bring my friends/family through this cute little cupcake shop when I show them around town =)

If you are looking for variety, this is your spot! Gluten-free and vegan needs are met as well. Late night hours are the cherry on top! Parking is hit or miss because it's on the street, but take advantage of the beautiful downtown and stroll in.

I’ve always been a fan of this place, moved away a year ago and came in town for a visit and of course I had to stop here. Kinda regret it, the size of this cupcake is shocking! It’s sooooo small!! And it was extremely dry. I’m so disappointed because this place was always so good way better than Georgetown Cupcakes ever was. It’d be a hard thing to convince me to go back.. and I love cupcakes. Great cupcakes with unique flavor options, including Guinness and Pb&J. I enjoyed the cupcakes, the frosting was incredible. I recommend the Guinness (most moist of the cupcakes I purchased). The cookie dough cupcake was so good but I think the cake was just a little dry. Can't wait to be back to try other flavors and to get more of the Guinness!

Summary: could not get the cake size/flavor combination requested. Junior staff on site not helpful. Did not like all the flavors when taste tested. Cancelled order. Will not return. Ordered a birthday cake and cupcakes just from reading the reviews. Was finally able to visit one week a ahead of the party and ordered the two flavors to taste test them for the first time. The first cupcake was immensely dry and not very palatable. The second, carrot cake flavor, was soft and delicious. In an attempt to switch the cake flavor to carrot and the cupcake flavor I realized the neither of the current staff was of any help. This was on a Saturday afternoon. I received a call from a decision maker an hour later, only to be told that flavor is not produced as a whole cake. I asked why the website states that all products are fully customizable only to be told they just don't do that combination. This led to cancelation of the entire order. Although pressed for time and now searching for another bakery, happy to not have found out these things while hosting or having the pastries bring down the event. Won't be patronizing again.

Not trying to be mean, but these are worse than a box of Duncan Hines from the grocery store. I'd rather have spent the money on those and had nice big moist cupcakes than these dry tasteless little things. Also had the cookie dough and it was alright, but had a kind of weird sour taste to it.

We are new in town and like to try out local businesses. Passed by and thought cupcakes sounded like a great way to end the afternoon. Store is cute, employee neither rude or pleasant and the cupcakes are definitely not worth the money. They re pretty, but small. Lemon cupcake barely had a lemon taste and was dry and crumbly with a texture similar to cornbread. The frosting was only . slightly better. Husband declared Hostess or Little Debbie cupcakes are better. We won’t be repeat customers based on our initial visit.

This place is the definition of "hole in the wall"! It's a wonderful little space just off the main strip in Downtown Fredericksburg, VA! It fills a void in the downtown store paradigm as there had once been a cupcake store in the area that closed several years ago. According to one of the team members on site, the store has only been open for about two months at the time of this review. I encourage all to make a venture downtown to check it out! P.S. the peanut butter cupcake was ASTOUNDING!!!!
