Stopped in after a local recommended it to us… and we were not disappointed! A nice homey local place, no pretense, not expensive at all. I had a bacon cheeseburger, my friend a double cheeseburger… they were real good and hearty and tasty… and the french fries were outstanding… seemed cut fresh at the diner. Will definitely go back…

Awesome food, awesome people! Had the double cheese burger with onion rings, thing was a beast boy excellent! Highly recommend you stop in and check it out for yourself!

You'd think that a diner that is easily 5 miles from any other options would have plenty of business just by being mediocre. That they wouldn't even need to try. We didn't have high expectations on our stop at this diner.

We got a bacon cheeseburger, Philly steak grinder, and their "mix fries" (poutine).
Everything was tasty and hot. The grinder bread was clearly homemade and phenomenal!!! The owner (I believe?) was there on her own and 3 parties walked in with us, one being a larger party of six. She handled everything perfectly, never missed a beat, and even managed to call in reinforcements (another woman came in to help) while cooking, taking orders, delivering food, ringing people out, etc.
Portions were good, not crazy huge. (I hate huge portions, so wasteful!) They were just right for having a good hearty lunch.
Highly recommend, we will be back. Nice scenic ride from Fort Kent.
Might even take the drive just to buy some bread!

We ate here multiple times on our trip to Allagash and were never disappointed. The food was delicious, with very generous serving sizes. The homemade bread is phenomenal. The service was always incredibly friendly as well!
Great food at great prices! Excellent place to have a warm home cooked meal while out putting some miles on the snowmobile! Highly recommend!
