We shop here for groceries most of the time. Walmart is across the highway from Food City and Food City has nicer people, a cleaner store, comparable prices, and the shelves are stocked better.
Just updating my review above. Had to go in and buy some drinks and a few odd things, today. The manager and everyone's always nice! They've totally remodeled the self-checkouts there and it looks great! They added more self-checkout registers, new registers, and it's designed to get out quicker. The registers all take cash as well as cards, now, tap your card or phone to pay, etc. Go check it out! No pun intended!🙂

I can not say enough about how wonderful the bakery department is. I came in randomly on a Monday at about 1:15 pm. I had an emergency, the order for a friend's wedding cake wasn't done by the bakery that we originally went with.
I walked in and explained to the lady behind the counter. She was able to get me a half sheet cake iced and done in less than 15 minutes! She absolutely saved the day! I went to three bakeries that day and Food City was the only one willing to even try to help me.

Saw that you had a new display at the bakery counter. I wanted to purchase some items. 3 ladies behind the counter. Not one asked me if I needed help . I stood for 6 minutes. No hello one minute please. I walked out.

Thought I was a Walmart., same unhappy frowning faces... Not happy I have to spend so much to eat so I don't need any help from them to be more depressed. All stores to big.. don't wont to walk 2 football fields just to get what I need.. same never change..

Walk to the Pharmacy. The woman rolls her eyes and says they don't carry whatever item you're searching for without even looking . All the other Food city pharmacies carry those items so it's a direct lie . Attitude and rudeness and more condescending stares. Why are the pharmacy workers here so conceited and full of themselves? I bet your pharmacy sales are dreadful compared to other stores. Makes perfect sense

Everyone in this store that are cashiers, seem to be such kind people, so this star does not go against you, however WHO EVER runs this store, needs a good talking to the rude deli department, absolutely the slowest people, they huff and puff,and watch you standing waiting for someone to help you out, the food is not good as it use to be other than the chicken tenders, train these people better or get rid of them. I won't shop there again at least in the deli.

This is a great grocery store!! I love this Food City. People are awesome and the selections rival AND EXCEED any and all nearby higher end competitors. Nice job Food City!!!

Had the privilege of getting to ring up and bag all of my groceries because not one register was open this morning. Was even told I was not eligible for the employee discount since I dont work there. But i was the only one working. Was told think about how much I saved by them not having anyone working that early????? OK
