I could say this place is a hidden gem and I was thrilled because I found this place. The location in Googlemap was not that accurate. You need to go to that “near” tower place because this restaurant is a bit hidden behind the brick walls. The waitress was super friendly, and always smiled to us. We tried their recommendation of special beer which is brewed in Kalmar, we also tasted the fish and chips which was immensely amazing. I could say nothing but only highly recommend this place. Located in an old fortified wall, super cozy inside and one can see how it would be great in wintertime. Outstanding selection of craft beer. You don't always get what you want (want a white wine? Here's a rose! Want an IPA on the sweeter side? Here's a west coast!), but it's okay. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person kr 200–300

Very cute little bar/restaurant with good beer selection and reasonable prices. Some more beers on tap would make this the official beer place of Kalmar!

Warm place to be during cold weather and good vegetable soup. Good place to hang out with friends.

This must be one of the best places in Kalmar. The service was so friendly and helpful. We had a BBQ Burger and Fish and Chips, and the Camembert for dessert, and swedish cider. Everything wad so delicious, and sitting outside was very nice. You need to come here, if you like good food and drinks.

Amazing atmosphere indide the old city wall. Friendliest bar staff in town? Quite possibly. Limited but still good selection of beer, both Belgian regulars and some craft beers.

So nice bar! It's only open to 11, but it is very cosy to take some before drinks and food here. The stone walls and ceiling really makes one feel comfortable, like a dwarf inn or something.
