Summary: Great local spot with good local food. Best enjoyed after work with some beers. There's not much else to see/do in the immediate area, so this place is perhaps best suited for those visiting the nearby park or working in a nearby office building.
Tips:
1. There is almost zero chance anyone working here will speak English, so non-Thais should use photos from google to indicate their orders. Friends and I did this and it worked well.
2. Try the ground, fried fish. This is their specialty and the best thing I've had there. It doesn't taste like fish at all- more like breadcrumbs with fresh peppercorn. Super tasty and definitely deserves a beer.
Quality: The quality here is pretty good. A lot of the food can be thought of as a Thai version of "bar food," which is to say, simple, affordable local dishes that go well with beer (of course).
Value: Very reasonable prices. I don't recall exact pricing, but mains were likely around USD$4. Beers are normal prices as well. Quite good value overall.
Service/ambiance: Service is fine, but non-Thais should note there is zero English spoken here. Use photos from google to order. They do not overcharge foreigners, which is admirable and deserves credit. Ambiance is super casual- it's basically street food with a roof.
Delicious food with cheap price if you want to try a local restaurant. The ambient quite old building. There are many spicy food menu. Please be careful!
