You just have to go! I love the level of care in the food preparation and presentation at 1864. Every dish and drink I’ve tried has been absolute perfection. A few of my favorites are the greens & beans, the chocolate martini, and all of the pasta dishes. And the ambiance… *chef’s kiss* I love it. This is hands down one of my favorite places in Bozeman.

Great service. Great cocktails. The beef tartare is a real standout. The meatballs were delicious as well. They had a duck special when I was there which was particularly good. Above all, I’m excited there’s a place to get quality food until 2:00 AM in Bozeman now!

Had the most delicious dinner here. This restaurant has such a cool and interesting history, and they have perfectly matched the decor to reflect this.
The food was fantastic! Super fresh and packed with flavor, perfectly balanced and and excellent portions. We had Mary's Chicken, grilled eggplant, and the Zucchini Carpaccio was killer!! Our Favourite cocktail was the Peeping Tom.
Best part of the night was meeting Chef Allison ♥️
Thank you 1864 for an amazing experience

Stopped in to have a couple cocktails. Staff was friendly upon arrival, drink menu was thorough and unique, drinks were delivered in a timely manner, and they were absolutely delicious. The Plenty Coups was one of the finest cocktails I have ever tasted. I will be back and highly recommend.

Had a fantastic time here on a Friday night. Came for drinks and dessert for my birthday. Atmosphere was really nice - not too loud but good vibes and decor was beautiful.
Tried Valley of Flowers, Calamity Jude, Thai me Up, and Peeping Tom. All really fun and unique. White chocolate torta and Baked Montana for dessert. Both were good but the Baked Montana was unlike anything I’ve ever had and I’d come back just for that. Really special for birthday dessert.

During a 10-hour drive, I stumbled upon this restaurant on Google Maps while searching for a good spot for dinner. As I read the menu to my family, I came across "Tartar!" and we instantly decided to go. My 9-year-old son, however, had his heart set on "meatballs!" and that sealed the deal.
To our delight, the beef tartare turned out to be the best I've ever tasted. Meticulously crafted with prime beef, aromatic herbs, and spices, each bite was a symphony of flavors that showcased the chef's culinary mastery. The addition of shiso leaves (I had to google this name, but I think those “Japanese leaves were shiso ones?) provided a refreshing and herbaceous note, while a subtle citrus note added a bright and tangy element that took the beef to new heights. It was evident that the taste was crafted by a chef with Michelin restaurant experience.
In fact, the expertise and finesse of the chef shone through in every dish we ordered. From the impeccable presentation to the extraordinary flavors, every aspect of the meal was a testament to the chef's skill.
One aspect that stood out was the exceptional service. The staff provided attentive and friendly service. What truly impressed me was when both owners took the time to ask for our opinion on the food we ordered. It was clear that they genuinely cared about each guest's experience.
Although coffee options were not listed on the menu, when I inquired about a cappuccino, the owner personally made one for me. This small gesture demonstrated the management's dedication and willingness to go above and beyond for their customers. Despite being just a passing stranger, they graciously accommodated my request.
This restaurant is a must-try for food enthusiasts seeking an extraordinary dining experience that showcases the artistry and expertise of a true culinary maestro. For my family, it is a definite must-stop whenever we find ourselves driving through Bozeman again.

I had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant, and I can confidently say that it deserves every single one of its 5 stars! As a native New Yorker, I am quite picky when it comes to food, and I have to say that Chef Allison's culinary creations transported me back home with every delectable bite. My husband and I have made it a tradition to have our date nights at this restaurant, and we eagerly look forward to each visit. The space exudes romance and is tastefully decorated, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable evening. If you're looking for a place that offers not only outstanding cuisine but also a romantic atmosphere, exceptional drinks, and top-notch service, this is the place to be. I cannot recommend it highly enough! Chef Allison and the entire team have truly created a culinary masterpiece that captures the essence of New York's finest dining.

This restaurant is absolutely stunning! The service is top-notch, and you have the freedom to choose your own vibe with booths, regular tables, or a huge bar. We opted for the bar and were blown away by their cocktail selection. The classics were great, but their original creations were next level delicious.
Now onto the food – brace yourself. The zucchini carpaccio was a pleasant surprise with its perfect blend of freshness and flavor. And don't even get me started on the pasta dishes. They were simply amazing.
We were so stuffed this time that we couldn't manage dessert, but you bet we're already planning our next visit to indulge in their drinks and sweets.
In short, this place is drop-dead gorgeous, the service is incredible, and the food and drinks will leave you in awe. Make sure you don't miss out on this unforgettable experience!

This is a MUST STOP in Bozeman if you love a great hand crafted cocktail! Everything was absolutely on point. Fabulous speakeasy atmosphere and you have to try the steak tartare, best I've had. Luke, the bartender knows his craft and with a little info can point you to the cocktail that you didn't know you needed. 😃 Looking forward to a return visit!
