Nice spot on the riverwalk. We were seated at a dirty sticky table. The server had to wipe the table clean with a cleaner spray. Food was brought out in a timely fashion. Good portion sizes. My burger was cooked to perfection. The beer was tasty, too. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
Bright and sunny brunch at this place! Right next to the lazy river flowing! Bears having a good game on the telly! IPA that ordered was just awesome - what else can one ask for!! We spent as much time possible in the Sun before we hopped on to the next brewery. Service was good and enough attention was given to us! But for most part they left us alone to continue our chit chat. If you are in this vicinity - please do visit them. We preferred the deck overlooking the river 😍 Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $20–30

Usually when viewed from afar during peak times, it seems to be loud and bustling. We went during the weekday for lunch and it was calm and nice on the rooftop. The salad and burger was pretty good and the service was quick. I would definitely recommend this place… just choose your experience by what day and time you go. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The burgers and fish tacos were delicious. The Gronk burger was a meal in itself, beefy but well balanced in taste and cooked to a perfect medium. I highly recommend it. The pretzel bun had a crunchy exterior yet was pillow soft on the inside. The burger cigars were an interesting take on bar food. BBQ Brisket was lacking the expected smoky BBQ flavor, but still a flavorful meal. fries were nondescript, no crunch but not really limp either. I would go back again. I have to say, I was not impressed with the salad that I had. There was waaaaay too much broccoli and not enough of the other vegetables. The chicken was cold and rubbery and felt like it had been sitting around for a while. The chips were pretty interesting but just taste like a ton of sugar thrown onto it The waiter was pretty cool, kept coming to check up on us even though my friends were not ready to order. I've been to Empire a few times now, and every time I've been impressed by the quality of their burgers (especially the house burger w/a sunny side egg, cream cheese, and maple bourbon syrup). The poutine makes a great appetizer, the draft beer list is awesome, and those fried doughnuts with crème anglaise are THE BEST thing in the zipcode. The rooftop tables are perfect year round, service is generally very good. I highly recommend Empire for their drinks, innovative burgers and those incredible not-to-be-missed beignets style doughnuts. This was my first time at Empire. I will warn you up front that they do not take reservations, so you may want to go before 6 pm if you do not want to wait too long. I liked this place because the food was unique, the burgers were outstanding, and lastly, their drink menu was extensive. I ended up ordering the Gronk, and it was a big burger. My burger was slightly overcooked, but the overall flavor was really good. As for the atmosphere, the decor was cool, and there was some elevated outdoor seating. The inside had TV'S with football on. The only thing I did not like was the music as loud, and the room had a big echo. it was difficult to hear a conversation across the table. Our server kindly had the music turned down, but the acoustics of the room are still lacking. Great place to eat, and it really looks like it would be a lot of fun in the summer months as they have giant folding doors to item the restaurant up to their outdoor seating on the second floor. The Thanksgiving special burger was great (turkey burger, gravy, cranberry aioli, crunchy stuff). The side salad is also great, has strawberries and dried cranberries, so it’s not boring. The drink menu was ~extensive~, even the non-alcoholic options. There are two floors and each has its own fun/cozy vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive. Good time! Empire, nestled in the heart of Naperville, is a culinary gem that tantalizes the palate with its inventive take on the classic burger. My recent visit left me with mixed emotions, as this establishment boasts a stunning rooftop setting, offering a captivating al fresco dining experience. Alternatively, the interior exudes a contemporary elegance, providing diners with a choice of ambiance. I embarked on a culinary journey, selecting their BBQ BRISKET sandwich, a fusion of flavors and textures that promises much. The promise, however, was not entirely fulfilled. The amalgamation of cheddar, apple cabbage slaw, and a pretzel roll showcased potential, yet the execution left something to be desired. While it was undoubtedly a satisfactory meal, it failed to transcend into the realm of the extraordinary. The service, although adequate, left me expecting a touch more finesse and attentiveness that one might anticipate in establishments of this caliber. Despite the minor shortcomings in both the cuisine and service, Empire's picturesque rooftop, coupled with its tasteful interior, offers a dining experience that is undoubtedly worth exploring. In time, with refinement in the kitchen and service, it has the potential to ascend to even greater culinary heights. The burger arrived missing 2 of the added ingredients to the "Jane". The burger was barely warm and almost looked reheated. After asking for the cheese that was never put on the burger, we were given a cold slice of American cheese and charged $1 extra for it. I wasn't even upset because it was so comical. The picture will speak for itself. Maybe it'll bring a smile to more people. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
