When we were at the restaurant, the owner explained us all their dishes we wanted to know more about. I finally had some fantastically tasting Yucatan Chaya (spinach-like) Pasta with a local beer. Amazing place to visit, nice bites and good atmosphere, I would not recommend it for cocktails though, but this can change time by time, more importantly is that this spot has a really nice gallery at the entrance, a beautiful lush garden patio, so for sure you can catch some good peace! The food is great considering the price. The environment is also good. They don't have any air-conditioning system because the restaurant is in an open place but they have at least two fans (a ceiling fan and a stand fan) for each table which works well in the scorching heat of summer in Mexico. The decoration is super impressive. They tried to incorporate Mexican culture in the interior decoration. The stuffs are also super friendly. Hidden gem. Unpretentious but still great service and vibe. The chef really delivers on the local traditional fare - best papazules I’ve ever had. Patio is beautiful and shaded. Filipe was the perfect host. The patio is so fun and even in poor weather we stayed dry under the roof. The food was priced very well and oh so fresh. Our trip through Valladolid was capped off with a delicious meal at El Patio. We tried the empanadas, burrito, and poc chuc and all the food we ate was delicious. In addition, the restaurant was nicely decorated, super clean, and the owner and staff were very friendly and proud. Overall a really positive experience that we'd recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal. Of the dozen or so places we patroned while travelling in the Yucatan Peninsula, this was our favourite!
