i loved this bakery so much before they moved i would’ve given it a hundred stars. but since everyone found out how amazing they were, they’ve moved, expanded business hours, and gotten much bigger. unfortunately the quality of the baked goods have slightly gone down. it makes me really sad because it was the only different & truly amazing bakery on long island. however it is still worth it, make sure you get there early in the morning. definitely pick up a loaf of sourdough, a cinnamon bun, a canelé, & a kougin amann. pictured are the cinnamon bun & canelé.

This is the best bakery in town. Selected favorites: cinnamon roll, sour dough bread, junior loaf, peach turnover, but the fact of the matter is the quality and taste is outstanding with all the products. Added bonus, staff is friendly and knowledgable!
Hands down one of the best bakeries I've been to in my life. The breads and baked goods are all delicious and experty crafted, the place is immacuately clean and it smells like heaven. The constant line out the door says it all! I love that they regularly change up the products, but we are so sad that they did away with the cupcakes! My husband and I would get several a week - they were the best we've ever had, especially the double chocolate. Pretty please, bring those back! Apple Maps directed me to the former location even though it had the new address. TIP: Search for 212 Wall St instead of Duck Island Bread Company. A server told me today that they no longer bake the Granny Apple Muffin. That was my favorite. They sell coffee beans and fresh coffee now. Their Instagram page is well managed, providing updates on opening hours and showcasing the many baked goods that they sell.

The young girl who served me was very sweet but I'm amazed she wasn't trained properly in that she used the same gloves on my cash, the cash register & to prepare my food. I gave her a lesson that the owner or manager should have given her.****

They weren't kidding when they say Bread Company. There is a huge selection of breads, cookies, sweets and savory items. I got a ham, egg and cheese brioche, a kouign-amann and a single serve onion sourdough bread that had a unique name. The whole display is great and every item was tempting. First up was the brioche. I couldn't wait to get home, so I tried it in the car. The brioche was so soft and tasted great. As I devoured, I was pleasantly surprised to see a runny egg hidden inside the brioche. This was breakfast, not a snack. The combination of egg, brioche, cheese and ham was just irresistible. I was a little skeptical about the kouign-amann and I was right, it was just a flaky crust coated with hardened sugar. It was dry too. I would skip it next time. The final bite was the awesome onion sourdough roll. I had this in the evening, cut it in half, smeared some Irish butter, Indian cut mango pickle and took a bite. The sourdough was perfect. I was fortunate to get inside without much waiting and the staff did a good job of keeping the line moving fast.
