Right beside Prado Park, this was probably my favorite meal in Montevideo. Their menu is quite expansive, and of course they're known for their asado! They serve chocolate sausages for dessert, which is what I have been looking to try (well worth!)
Each asado dish comes with a side. I wouldn't recommend their steamed vegetables, which lacked flavor and were cold, but the rest of the meal was delicious!
The staff are so friendly, checking in constantly and speaking in rapid Spanish, so be prepared. The menu is in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
If one goes around 8, it's not too crowded. Otherwise, plan for a wait

What a wonderful find and Prado the restaurant is close to the presidents residence. Major museums in a beautiful section of Montevideo. The restaurant itself has atmosphere and an interesting vibe. It is comfortable and enjoyable. It is colorful and improves your mood, simply by being present, the food, however, was not great. We had one meal that was slightly undercooked, the salad was fantastic and a fish dish was simply OK. I still recommend going.
