Visited a couple of days ago in the evening. The location houses around 4-5 Indian/Sri Lankan restaurant outlets, all offering similar dishes like Rice, Spaghetti, Burgers, Pasta, Noodles, and Kottu, but lacking brunch, sweet, or coffee options. The variety is limited, and prices are reasonable.
Despite being a Saturday evening, the place wasn't overly crowded. The breathtaking view overlooking the lake and the relaxed vibe make it an ideal spot for a tranquil evening. If you seek a calm and soothing atmosphere, this is a great place to unwind.

This location offers a one-of-a-kind experience since it is a restaurant created out of an old, unusable train that has been converted into a railway station. You can access the Diyatha Station from Diyatha Uyana by parking your vehicle there and taking a boat service, which costs 50 rupees for a round trip. The place is visually appealing, and you have the option to dine inside the train compartment or outside. Although the food prices are a bit high, the taste did not disappoint us.

Good for friends and family dining. Variety of seating including platform benches and in compartment seats. Nice view. Can access via boat from waters edge hotel or drive directly. Parking space is not arranged but roadside parking available, hassle if it rains. Need to order the food first at cashier by looking at the menu, and then handover the receipt and the food will be served to the table. Food is tasty, regular quantity. Good service.
Caution: friendly enthusiastic dingos running around!

We went with group of my friends. Food are good. Portion is enough for one person. You can buy beer and liquor here. Soft drinks are also available. They do not take long time to prepare food. Self service is here. When we go there lion and carsburg beer available. They provide boat service up and down only 50 rupees per person. No long wait for boat service. Wash room are available here

Only thing good about this place is its located by the lake. Good view. Cool wind. Calm place. Other than that food not good. Inside the train is a different experience but its a tight space. Won’t feel like coming again. Chairs and desks are exactly like in train station. No comfort at all. I don’t know why people pay money and come to suffer on a wooden top chair where service is so poor. Better to buy the favorite food from your favorite restaurant and grab a beer can and stop your vehicle on the road to this place by the lake and enjoy 😂
