MJ and Patrick, both servers as well as bartenders, are wonderful! Food is excellent. Local Indian dish Fish Roti! Roti is a meat, potato and curry sauce in a chickpea flour wrap. Like a burrito. It's a wonderful local dish and customer can choose the meat such as beef, fish, chicken. The restaurant also serves fresh caught lobster, wahoo... Had the wahoo two nights ago. Blackened and perfectly prepared. Great salad and rum raisin cheesecake is amazing! Service is outstanding. Beautiful sunset! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Went there for dinner a week ago with my best friend. The food and service never disappoint. I started with mussels as an appetizer, and then we had conch as the main course. They had a special drink, vodka with juice, but couldn't taste the vodka. And $12 for a glass. Could have been cheaper. But otherwise... on point. We dined here with friends of my mom and siblings for her 70th birthday. Most of all my mom enjoyed every moment from beginning to end. Being a picky eater and a cook herself she voiced how lovely her meal was. She danced, took pictures and closed the place down. A hearty thank you to Everlyn and staff there at D'Coal Pot for helping us celebrate our mom 3 scores and 10. This place has a beautiful open deck and is right on the water. The food and drinks are outstanding - ate dinner here twice while on the island. The staff are very nice but service is quite slow. We make sure to have a few meals at D'Coal Pot on every visit to Tortola. They are now right at the water's edge in Carrot Bay. The setting could not be better. Great sunsets. The sound of the surf on rocks right next to you. One meal must always be roti. On the last visit, the seafood one slightly edged out the conch. The jerk chicken was grilled and seasoned tastily. The curry crusted grouper is a family favorite. Well priced wine list. If you want something non-alcoholic, though, try the sorrel. Theirs was excellent. Awesome beachside anmbience and perfect casual location. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend anything else. The service was SLOW (even by Caribbean standards) and the food quality was very average. The prices were far beyond what was delivered so I would recommend trying other spots on the island. The atmosphere was the best that I have seen in the area and the view was great. Food was good and the price was fair. Didn’t really appreciate that there was no free tap water available but other than that I would highly recommend. Fresh Wahoo was good and only slightly over done in parts. The food here was exceptional and we came back multiple times. The Jerk Rib eye steak I had was excellent and the Roti I had was the best I had on Tortola. The view is incredible, the staff is very friendly, and the menu rotates based on availability. Highly recommend
