This place was recommended to me by my son and we loved it! My daughter and I were warmly greeted by Christina and were able to get a table for 7 right away even though they were quite busy. My son and his family were coming to join us but were more than an hour late. It was so embarrassing, but Christina and the other servers who stopped at our table to check on us told us not to worry; just let them know when we were ready to order. When our party finally arrived and our food was served it was delicious!! I've had authentic Cuban food while living in Miami and this was as close to that as I've ever had! The restaurant's decor gives you the feeling of being in Cuba. I can't say enough about the staff. They made us feel so welcome and not put out that we were there for such a long time. I eat Cuban and Puerto Rican food a lot and was left a bit unsatisfied. I had lechón with white rice and black beans and pretty much gave away the whole dish. The lechón was lacking serious flavor and the rice seemed as if it were jasmine rice - note that I could be mistaken- but the flavor was just not something I would expect to find in a Cuban restaurant, although maybe I missed a description on the menu? The black beans were good and I did enjoy the tostones that I dipped a bit in the beans. The tostones, yucca frita, and the pan were all delicious and i did eat a lot of those items. My dinner companion had the vaca frita and I did taste it, with both agreeing it was delicious and tender- went well with the tostones. They liked the rice but then again they do like jasmine rice and that kind of rice “flavor”. We did have drinks that were well made and was worth the price. Service was good, quick but no problems. Perhaps coming from a city with tons of Cuban options has also impacted my taste buds but I def expected more flavor and bang for the reviews. The only reason I am giving it a 2 is for the price difference for the same plate at the one in Denver. The Castle Rock one for the Pollo a la plancha is $21.00 the same exact plate at the Denver location is $14.50. We asked our server why that was, he asked his manager and told us that the portions were different but honestly they are the same. The server was extremely attentive and polite. I am from Miami, if you are looking for authentic Cuban food, sure you can come to the Castle Rock location, but I would drive the extra 30 mins and head to the Denver location for the same portions and cheaper price. We ended up paying $103. With the same order at the Denver location it came to $84. Price per person $100+ Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Flavors and deliciousness were on point, but my fries were cold. Seriously though, aside from cold fries, everything was amazing. Fruit purees for their cocktails are made in house. The pork in every dish that has it is fall apart tender and melts in your mouth. Their Cubano is crunchy with the perfect blend of pig, cheese, and pickles. Popular place that is always busy. Feels tropical inside like I'm on vacation or at least out of the Colorado cold. The staff is amazing!! Mixed drinks are wonderful! Happy hour 2 to 5 is a great deal!! Food is quick. Stopped in for a quick lunch and was blown away. Quaint and well decorated interior was only matched by the amazing food. Food was delicious and service was amazing, will definitely be going back.
