It may just be me, but the food at this location was lacking. I have not been to CB in a while, so I was expecting the old "Cracker Barrel" feel. The Maple Glazed grilled chicken was rubbery, the green beans were bland, the cornbread was hard. The mac and cheese was fairly good. The waitress lacked personality, but she did check on us a few times. Neither my husband nor myself could finish the meal. Afterwards, as we were returning to our car, we both became nauseated. I love the cracker barrel we go there quite often. We love the people there they're friendly nice and we love to shop in their gift shop. They have some unique clothes you don't find anywhere else. My daughter and I had one of the very best experiences at the Clemmons, NC, Cracker Barrel recently. Jamie was the best server I believe we have ever had. She was on top of everything and was so prompt and courteous. We ordered the Homestyle Chicken which was so moist and delicious! I was only able to eat one of the chicken breasts because they were so large. One of the best meals I've had at Cracker Barrel. I strongly recommend the chicken! We visited mt airy just for one night and decided to stop in to Cracker Barrel. I was very excited to get my favorite Cracker Barrel meal the chicken and dumplings. I had hashbrown casserole and a side salad with ranch as my two sides. My boyfriend got the country fried steak with okra, dumplings, and I’m struggling to remember his third side. He stated his food was “alright”. He did enjoy the okra. The biggest problem with my meal was the fact that my dumplings were swimming, there was no thickness at all. My dumplings were also not that hot. The pros are that our waitress Sofie(or Sofia) had great customer service and was very prompt and when we checked out the cashier was very kind. As the fall days get crisp it is always great to come into a freshly burning wood fire. Latte’s were delicious. If you are a pickle fan, the fried pickles with dill ranch was fantastic, great pot pie and chicken finger dinners. You can’t go wrong ever with the bisects. The only downside was the fried okra was left under the warming light too long. Our server was Jack and she is the epitome of exceptional customer service, pleasant, personable and prompt. We even signed up for their reward program because of Jack. We will be returning!!! I LOVE SHOPPING THE CHILDREN CLOTHES AND SHOES. THEY ALWAYS HAVE THE CUTEST THINGS…. Food & Service was good this time around. NOT a fan favorite of the Sunday Southern Fried Chicken.. To ME - it has a flourish taste / texture to it… all the more reason I prefer BAKED / GRILLED / Pit cooked Chicken… Husband had breakfast and his pancakes were delicious (I ate some of them instead of chicken) shhhh we won’t let that out.. haha Over all - GOOD FOOD AND SERVICE

The food at Cracker Barrel is always hit or miss. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s not. The service is usually pretty good and they take care of you the best they can if there is an issue with your food. The menu is consistent and the prices are reasonable. Moderately busy around 4pm & waited over 10 minutes for someone to take my drink order. Took another 10 minutes to get my drink. Waiter had no sense of urgency. I ordered an appetizer that was to have ranch, was not told when ordering that they were out of ranch. I’m fine without the ranch really, but just tell people when they place their order. Waiter brings my food to the table & asks if I need anything else. My tea glass was literally sitting empty on the edge of the table. Took 5 minutes to get the refill along with some A1 for my hamburger steak. Temperature of the food was room temp at best. The sweet tea & the biscuit’s were the best part of the meal.
