Crowded with people eventhough non peak hour. Waiting time for food to be serve quite long. Their signature menu: Steam clam soup is nice and fresh, but the clam size is quite small. The Assam seafood pot is also mouthwatering. Yam ring with Kong Pou mantis prawn is another surprise for us. The taste is very appetizing, not too sweet. Overall, is a recommended Chinese restaurant for dine in, with reasonable price and good food. [February 2023] Located at the red brick industrial building. Very spacious restaurants with mezzanine floor (a/c room), also open seating by parking lots. Huge crowd at 6pm. Kam Heong Cili crab: 1kg 3 crabs. Too small very difficult to eat. Check size first before order. Cooked with pork lard. Quite fresh. Yam basket with mantis prawn: thick yam basket. Quite satisfying. Must eat when served warm. Else it became harder, mantis is crispy when hot but turns very mushy when cold. A bit disgusting texture. Mantis quite fresh. The fried mihun below for garnishing is so annoying, all clumped with the yam n mantis. Opt not to put that. Assam steam tilapia: tilapia extremely fresh and no mud smell. Assam sauce just sour only, quite blant not enough salt. Flat.... Hokkien mee: not my expected Hokkien Mee. Uses slightly thinner noodles close to yellow mee. The look didn't hit the point of Hokkien Mee. Generally price is very affordable. It's a good place for daily meals. Discovered the nyonya asam fish just recently, and it is really good! Just the right sourness to give it an appetising appeal. Must haves are the golden pork, nestum mantis prawn, homemade tau fu, yam ring filled with kung pou mantis prawn! Not forgetting the yummy vegetables, with the right amount wok hei. service fast, very attentive. good varieties. price is reasonable. accept Boost e wallet. they actually has another branch in BBT one positioning more premium live seafood.
